Since Born Yesterday is bottled and shipped the very same day—probably the freshest Fresh Hop ale you'll get your paws on—the arrival date is kinda in the air 'til things get closer and nature says so. Kinda like a fresh lil' newborn, only this puppy is made from whole-cone, un-kilned Mosaic, Equinox, Citra, Simcoe and Amarillo hops from our farmer friends in Yakima, WA. It's borning soon. Wanna be the first to know when? You've gotta guess first …

I had the good fortune to spend a few days in Vermont last month sampling the Waterbury area's finest, and I have to say Lagunitas' Born Yesterday (born 10/27/14) is sharing the rarified air of the best of the best with Edward. As close to perfection as a pale ale (forget that, any beer) can get.
Drink this while it's fresh if you can find it, and I hope they keep the batches coming.

This is THE bottled pale ale. This sits right up there with Hoppy Birthday (Alpine). Fresh tropical fruit jumps from the glass, clean taste with just enough malt to round it out. Perfect hoppy pale, seriously considering buying a case. Try this beer.

Saw this and had to try a single before partaking in the sixer. My bad!

Popped the top and the aroma is pure awesome. Had to take a sip to wet the whistle.

Pours a pretty clear yellow/straw color with a decent sized off-white head and tons of lacing.

I could smell this all day. Piney and dank goodness. No more description needed.

The taste is what I like an IPA to be...though this has some quasi-DIPA attributes. Pine, dank, touch of malt, Pine Sol (don't ask), biscuit and plain awesomeness. Really fresh.

It's got that Lagunitas feel which I'm sure you all know and love.

Overall this was more than expected. Maybe we have the "new" West Coast Pale Ale here. It seems some Pales are really starting to lack and then Tony and Crew kicks the style in the Ass and introduces something amazing. Heading off to find more so this review be done.
