Better than before, bursting with citrus and tropical aromas, juicy orange and grapefruit flavors.
Smooth and juicy feel, moderate bitterness and easily sessionable. An amazing APA worth tracking down.

Whoa, this is suddenly the #8 APA? That's strange.

Pours a bright saturated orange tone, fluffy white foam that leaves behind some nice delicate lace. Brilliant clarity.

Pungent nose, reminds me of my fresh Columbus harvest a month or two ago. Funky sweet sticky Mary Jane, floral and citrus beyond that.

Tastes of sweet orange, grapefruit peel, bitter pine resin. Light bodied and easy to drink. If this is a fresh hop beer, it's one of the best on the market. It's a very good pale ale, though I've also had better.

This is an amazing pale ale!! Definitely one of the best I've ever had. Tropical fruits galore!! Alpine Hoppy Birthday is going to clash with this beer! Best of the Best!! This should be up there with zombie dust!

12oz bottle, "borned" on 10/27/14, poured into a Lagunitas mason jar.

The beer pours a lightly hazy, copper orange color, a handful of bubbles slowly rise to the top of the glass where a nice, fluffy, slightly off-white head rests, about 2 fingers high that has nice retention and leaves large swatches of soapy lace behind. The aroma is really pleasant, bright and juicy hops, dank and floral aromas behind the juicy fruit, sharp citrus and earthy pine round out a really nice hop bill that has only a hint of malt sweetness. The aromas resonate well on the tongue, dank grassiness and juicy tropical fruit, lightly floral underneath but really fruity and citrusy straight away with a bit of sticky, resinous pine flavor that is smoothed over by a nice counterbalance of sweeter malts. The mouthfeel is great, sticky, juicy and coating, carbonation is lower which adds to the juiciness though shows itself at the finish with a light crispness to compliment the dry sensation at the finish.

Verdict: A really fine wet hop beer from Lagunitas and definitely my new favorite hoppy offering from them. It fires on all cylinders and hits all the notes my palate likes and masks the ABV quite well, a definite home run and certainly a beer best enjoyed fresh.

Lagunitas' entry in the new-style bright, tropically hoppy APA category, like PseodoSue, Hoppy Birthday, any number of Cellarmaker brews. Born Yesterday compares well to them. Very, very good. And this beer will be (presumably) much easier to get than any of those others.

Pours a finger of head on a clear straw body. The aroma is grain and pine. The taste is a burst of pine and lemon. Quite nice. The texture is crisp.. Really nice.
