Since Born Yesterday is bottled and shipped the very same day—probably the freshest Fresh Hop ale you'll get your paws on—the arrival date is kinda in the air 'til things get closer and nature says so. Kinda like a fresh lil' newborn, only this puppy is made from whole-cone, un-kilned Mosaic, Equinox, Citra, Simcoe and Amarillo hops from our farmer friends in Yakima, WA. It's borning soon. Wanna be the first to know when? You've gotta guess first …

12oz bottle borned 10-16-17

1/4" white head on top of a golden pale ale, slight chill haze. Webby lace.
Smelled the hops from a foot away...jumps out. Nosedive --- pineapple, citrus, faint pine, ripe oranges, citrus oil...clean and very appealing.
Delicious. Hop showcase...flavors match the aromas above. Amazing. Maybe a desert island beer?
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, medium carbonation, zesty and clean.
Wow. Phenomenal.

Served at Picasso’s in Stowe VT into a pint glass.

Appearance is lightly hazy but pretty transparent. Little lacing and retention.

Aromas are light with citrus and mango. Flavor is melon and citrus with a good amount of tropical fruit. Very easy drinker, medium carb and medium body.

I'm sorry, I don't understand all these high ratings. Take a glass of unsweetened grapefruit juice, carbonate it, and add grain alcohol until it reaches 7.2 ABV. That's what we're talking about here. It doesn't disgust me, but it doesn't strike me as a pale ale or an IPA. It just strikes me as carbonated alcoholic grapefruit juice. If I wanted to drink that, I could make it for a lot less than $2 a bottle.

Hazy light amber, short lived head.
Wonderful aroma, fruity, citrus, mango.
Clean and hoppy bitterness. The most brilliant grapefruit flavor. No astringency, minimal lingering bitterness.
Slick and lighter feel. Moderate carbonation.
One of my favorite beers.

Light gold, mildly hazy body; thick, sudsy head; plenty of rings around the glass. Strong citrus and red grapefruit aroma; oranges and tangerines. Zesty flavors with an intense hop bitterness; pepper and citrus tastes; subtle light cereal grain backbone. Medium bodied; crisp and dry on the palate.

This is a very satisfying beer, intense and favorable, highlighting an exceptional hop presence over a gentle light malt backbone.
