Undated bottle at 45 degrees into standard pint
Aroma of slightly piney hops
Head average (4 cm), off white, creamy, mostly diminishing to 1 -2 mm layer
Lacing good, covering most of the glass
Body light orange, clear
Flavor bitter with both pine and citrus fruit overtones; no malt, no alcohol, no diacetyl; finishes with hop bitterness but not flavor
Palate medium, slightly oily, soft carbonation

It’s possible this undated IPA is old because the hoppiness is pretty weak. Otherwise, this is a tasty IPA.

This one has me a bit confused. It tastes really good, but as it warmed it had a very odd odor too it, like an underarm sweaty odor. I have had beers that have had this thing going on before, and maybe this one was past its prime. I could not find a date anywhere on the label and I am just too damn lazy to search for some bottling code. Just put a drink by or bottled on date and we are good. I really wish it was standard that all breweries would put the date bottled on the label and leave it up to us to decide if we want to chance it.

Appearance: Golden hazy color, some head that dissipated fairly quickly, not bad.

Smell: This one had me perplexed, it smelled alright in the beginning, a little sweet, not a lot of hops but as it warmed it was like smelling some sweaty dudes underarm. I pressed onward.

Taste: Taste was great, I really enjoyed this offering from Lagunitas, I am enjoying California beers this Spring. If the smell were better this one would get a much better review, I don't know what the hell was up with that.

Overall: Not a bad beer, it was on sale for a really good deal, maybe that was why it had that smell going on, run a sell and get rid of the aging inventory, anyway, I still like Lagunitas and would drink this one again. It was much better when it was around 40 degrees rather than, say room temperature.

Pours a pale cooper with a white head - decent retention and some lacing.

Smells of resinous earthy hops with some floral anf citrus notes backing.

Taste is sweet citrus and bitter resinous hops. There is some interplay of the flavors, but overall this one is largely harmonious. A solid beer that drinks big without being obnoxious.
