12oz bottle into a pint glass

A-golden dark yellow, almost pale yellow with a thin white suttle head.

S-citrus fruits, pine and loads of sweet almost clementine.

T- Hop bite on the tongue, very slight alcohol forward and aftertaste. Mildy sweet malt profile with tastes of biscuit and slight spice. Very subtle DIPA and extremely drinkable.

M-very light on the palate and great bitterness that lingers with a very mild alcohol taste. Very good in my opinion, a well-balanced DIPA.

Again another great showing of an IPA by Lagunitas. They have really grown on me, and this being my first Maximus I definitely would drink it again. It's not the smack-your-face hop attack that I like when really wanting a DIPA, but it's one where you can easily have 2 or 3 and really feel great about life!

a. Golden orangy color, clear. Good 2 inch head which lasts. Good lacing.

s. Only pine. Does not seem very complex in the nose.

t. Oh, there we go! A non existent taste up front (kind of like heady, but not as pronounced a length of time). A quick burst of citrus in the middle and better and pine in the finish. On the sweeter side.

m. Nice - smooth - plenty of carbonation - well balanced.

o. Another great beer by the outstanding brewer.
