A - Nice bright vibrant gold, copper, orange. Mild off white head, 2 finger head. Nice retention.

S - Nice fruit tones of mango, pineapple, oranges, very vibrant citrus notes. A very inviting pine dryness. Nice biscuit dryness tones.

T - Bitter up front, sweetness in the middle, dry to finish. A more in depth look will reveal a different taste than what is smelled. Very mild in the dimensions of the hops.

M - Heavy body, carbonation is a bit dense, very dry going down.

O - A good beer. Not the best DIPA out there. Very boozy and Malty at times. I wish the hops shined through more. But all in all, it is very floral, and easy to drink. I will have it again.

A - 4 - nice golden amber color with a thick white head that leaves nice lacing.
S - 3.75 - Nice grapefruit, mango, pineapple, peach with sweet caramel malt in the background.
T - 3.75 - Grapefruit, peach, pineapple, mango, papaya. Background is sweet caramel malt.
M - 3.75 - Light-medium mouthfeel. Alc covered. Aftertase is papayo and peach flavors. More sweet/less bitter than most IPAs.
O - 3.75 - It's a good beer, different which is good. I'd have it again for sure, but it's far from the best. Same league as Marble IPA or Four Peaks Hop Knot.

12 oz bottle poured into a snifter. This bottle is dated sometime in October (285 3), so it's not the freshest, but certainly nothing to pass on. This is one of those beers that I never buy because it's always hanging around. I know that's a mistake, but whatever, everyone does it!

A - big head on the forced pour, dissipates very slowly, leaving nice lacing down the sides of the glass. Good looking residue lingers on the surface. Colors are amber, orange, and red, translucent when held up to the light. Nothing extraordinary for a DIPA.

S - very good nose. Citrus fruits, oranges, pineapples, and kiwi. There's also some of the malt evident behind the initial fruit, a little thickness with some sugary sweetness. I'm especially impressed by this since the bottle is more than two months old.

T - good, but, like most DIPAs, the nose is better than the taste. There're some honied fruits at first, but it's a little too bitter for me, a little richer than I expect. The alcohol is actually surprisingly present, even though it's reasonably low at only 8+%. Despite all of that, I like it a lot, but compared to the nose, it's not as good.

M - meh. Like most Lags beers, including Sucks, it's very syrupy. The alcohol dominates, as does the sugar.

O - I'm glad I tried this, since it's definitely a beer I would get again. Although not sessionable, it's still got a great nose and a comparable taste to make for a good drinking experience. A cheap, year-round alternative to Sucks.
