Pours a clear amber color with a 2 finger width foamy head into a tulip glass. Head retention is good. Lacing is very good. Has a nice deep malty aroma. Resin and caramel with a hint of orange. Nice malty aroma with a great transition to a piney hop, ending in a little sweeter orange flavor. There is some smoothness to it with a little caramel. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Very good beer.

Not much of a Hop Head but I will try my best with this one.

Appearance: 3-fingered head with an amber orange coloring.

Aroma: Flowery hops perfect for a hot day (California has one season making them focus on crisper beers so it seems). Almost a dandelion scent.

Taste: Light flavors of sweet malts blend well with springy hops to give an excellent balance. I was expecting the hops to overpower the palate, but they were much more contained than I expected.

Mouthfeel: Crisp and light. little body with small amounts of carbonation blended well. I was expecting much more carbonation for the head it poured, but still well done.

Overall: As a stout guy I still appreciated this brew. Easy to drink with nice levels of hops balanced it very well.
