Style: American Pale Ale (APA)

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 7.90%

Availability: Winter

Notes / Commercial Description:
We took some fresh Sanguinello Blood oranges, juiced 'em, concentrated that juice (without heat) and threw it into a wheatier version of our New Dogtown Pale Ale. The end result? A refreshingly hopped pale-ish ale with a huge citrus burst!

As a big fan of Lagunita's I had to try this one. Recently started discovering blood red IPA's and this is very much that. Classic Lagunitas hoppy undertone but image with orange mixed in. Fantastic beer.

Anybody that rates this below a 4 is a fucking idiot! Normally I would buy Stone's Ruination 2.0, but this shit is so good that it won me over!

This one hitter must have been a grand slam in the bottom of the ninth to win it! Just a great brew, so very refreshing when cold on a hot summer day. Love it.

This was such a fantastic surprise when I tried it first. Loved the smell and the flavor. It isn't overly sweet which will be appealing to those who hate sweet beers.

Sweet, tart and fresh hops - really like this summer beer. Orange and grapefruit are dominant to me, but I could agree I'm tasting at least 6 other fruit flavors, this is a complex fruit beer. Highly recommend, my local is going to put it on draft next week and I cannot wait! Like someone said earlier, the sweet is up front on the first sips, but about halfway down the glass the dryness and more bitter fruits start to come on. Highly recommend.

12oz. bottle poured into a Lagunitas jar glass.

Look: Awesome hazy orange color. Fluffy white head that settles into whispy lacing.
Smell: Orange peels and hops. Made my mouth water
Taste: Juicy citrus taste. Orange rind and juice, little bit of pine.
Mouthfeel: Nice. This beer has body to it. Well carbonated. Almost an fruit juice feel.
Overall: I am so glad I was able to find a six pack of this beer. Yet another solid brew from Lagunitas. I hope they'll consider making this a regular/seasonal offering.

Lucky enough to get to try this limited-edition beer on tap; I am a big fan of many of Lagunitas' other beers. It is without a doubt one of the best APA beers I've had; lots of citrus in the smell and taste of this beer, but without the fake or overpowering effect some similar beers have. Hops are well-balanced for the style, clean and refreshing feel. An instant classic and a shame it will be gone soon.

To the question mark who rated this a 1.97

Your taste buds are questionable. You might wanna keep continuing a low profile until you repair yourself.

Moving on.
Saw this in the supermarket and god damn. it felt like finding a long lost friend. ive became a fan of lagunitas after a romance with lagunitas sucks brown shugga substitute. this company is on point. moved on to dog pale ale then onto suptim sumptin. from the packaging to the product quality this company has always appealed to my bum drinking, laid back, inner beer bum bro. You can tell the spirit of the guy who started all all of this is alive and well. and success hasnt changed him. that spirit speaks to me, its kindred. thx bro. lets become beer drinking bum bros.

Onto the beer...
I felt like mandarin oranges were stradling my tongue. perfect alcohol content. unique citrus taste like my girlfriends period blood. (shes a big health nut, vegan, and farmers market organic blood orange type of girl). Im lathering it f up like a puppy eating puppy chow.

10/10

Fu question mark.

This is such a good beer. Probably a top 3-4 beer from Lagunitas. I had it about a month ago and was lucky enough to find it again, this time in Philly. Fresh Squeezed - lite.

Look: Golden, traditional Pale Ale. Pours with a bit of a head that disappears soon after.

Aroma: Hoppy for a Pale Ale which is expected of West Coast IPAs. Also citrusy, hence the name yet not overpowering.

Taste: In a word: refreshing. Otherwise, it's much less hoppy on the tongue or just less bitter than expected. There is a hint of a floral feel and aftertaste on this one (that being a good thing).

Feel: Overall this is a juicy delicious very drinkable beer. It does not have any alcohol aftertaste for being so high in it.
