This is, you know... beer. Beer the way you remember it if you haven't had beer in quite a while. As in, decently refreshing, but nothing memorable. Maybe it tastes better than Bud, etc. I'm not sure. If it does, it's not saying much.

There's nothing bad about this beer. Nothing off-putting. It's perfectly acceptable. And perfectly boring.

For people who really do relish lagers, this might be a real find. For most everyone else, this will rate somewhere around "meh" on the scale.

The appearance had a nice pale yellow body yielding a decent one finger white foamy head that appeared and lasted for thirty seconds before slowly dieing into the body. The smell had the hops in front with faint lemon in the background. Some cracker/biscuits amplifying a sly balance. The taste was exactly the same as the aroma with a mediocre sort of blended aftertaste. The palate was light bodied with a crisp sort of sessionability about it. Good expected Czech pilsener harshness that bit into my tongue a bit more than I thought it would, eventful to say the least. Overall, given that there is a ton of better Lagunitas beers out there, honestly, this wasn’t too bad, I had to re-visit this a couple of times to get a good feel for it.

Poured into a half pint glass: color is straw gold, head pours 1/2 inch thick then dissipates to a top and lacing on the glass sides.

Smell is pleasantly malty, pilsener aroma is pronounced, hints of earthy/grassy bitterness.

Taste is similarly malt, good pilsner flavor, light sweetness, then drawn out grassy bitterness, getting very dry.

Mouthfeel starts off very well with good malt sweetness, then draws out as very dry and bit too bitter.

Overall the aroma and flavor are very good, mouthfeel seems a bit dry for style.

Very light yellow see through color to this Czech pils. Bready, beery scent as most of these pilsners have but nothing exciting. The taste is actually very good for a pils, bready and slightly spicy. The feel is a bit thin but quite smooth with just the right amount of carbonation for this beer.

The beer is a very pale clear color, reminds me of white grape juice, maybe a little more yellow. The head was thick and foamy, coating my glass. There was mild carbonation. The beer smells bready and a little farm-like. The taste is a little light, you get a little bready flavor followed by some farm and spice flavors. The beer is light bodied and medium carbonation in the mouth feel.

Pours clear, gold in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is cereal grain, grass, and light hops. Light bodied, sweet with slight hoppiness, and moderate carbonation. Love how Lagunitas resisted the urge to over-hop this and what is left is a nice and clean lager. I have others in the style I prefer, but this is well worth seeking out on a warm day.

Pours a light straw blonde with excellent clarity and almost a full 1" of white head on the top. Looks every bit a professional pilsner. Aroma a plenty of Midwestern barley grain feels and a robust and lively Saaz hopping.

The cereal grains are a poppin' right away, mild lemon hop notes. Bitterness is pronounced for style but not a problem if you're a usual hoppy Lagunitas drinker. Its pretty clean and certainly a good beer for warm weather or when you don't want a Chicago adjunct syrup pour. Good beer all around, convenient format and great price.

The 12oz bottle poured into a teku glass...

Lagunitas is rare in Europe, thanks Beergium.com ! a refreshing pils that has nothing extraordinary to her but still feels good on a spring afternoon, if you dig the style.

Straw colored with pillowing white head that remains well throughout the drink, this pilsner is pretty. Smells grassy with faint hops. Tastes crisp and clean, peppery saaz hops shining through. A strong pilsner offering. Light bodied with bitter, dry aftertaste.

Definitely one I should have reviewed a good decade ago. Pours a big bubbled, slow receding white head. Plenty of visible carbonation atop a straw golden hue. Nose is bright golden malt and spicy hops.

Flavor fits the style well, with light but flavorful hops following light malts. Not complex, but interesting enough. Nice for the solid, although the texture is overly tight due to carbonation. Not among the very best of the style but nothing to sneeze at, especially in warm weather.

L: Clear and golden with a good finger and a half of head
S: Sweetness, maltiness, some citrus, and hops
T: Grassy, bready, sweet, and some hops
F: Med-hi carbonation, with a light body
O: Great refreshing beer overall. My first czech pilsener so I don't have much to compare it to, but I really like it. Could see it being a great session beer.

A good beer to have on hand for my non-crafty friends. Enough hops to make it interesting. Light and crisp enough for a Coors Light fan. Floral notes also make it interesting.
