Pours a light straw blonde with excellent clarity and almost a full 1" of white head on the top. Looks every bit a professional pilsner. Aroma a plenty of Midwestern barley grain feels and a robust and lively Saaz hopping.

The cereal grains are a poppin' right away, mild lemon hop notes. Bitterness is pronounced for style but not a problem if you're a usual hoppy Lagunitas drinker. Its pretty clean and certainly a good beer for warm weather or when you don't want a Chicago adjunct syrup pour. Good beer all around, convenient format and great price.

The 12oz bottle poured into a teku glass...

Lagunitas is rare in Europe, thanks Beergium.com ! a refreshing pils that has nothing extraordinary to her but still feels good on a spring afternoon, if you dig the style.

Straw colored with pillowing white head that remains well throughout the drink, this pilsner is pretty. Smells grassy with faint hops. Tastes crisp and clean, peppery saaz hops shining through. A strong pilsner offering. Light bodied with bitter, dry aftertaste.

Definitely one I should have reviewed a good decade ago. Pours a big bubbled, slow receding white head. Plenty of visible carbonation atop a straw golden hue. Nose is bright golden malt and spicy hops.

Flavor fits the style well, with light but flavorful hops following light malts. Not complex, but interesting enough. Nice for the solid, although the texture is overly tight due to carbonation. Not among the very best of the style but nothing to sneeze at, especially in warm weather.

L: Clear and golden with a good finger and a half of head
S: Sweetness, maltiness, some citrus, and hops
T: Grassy, bready, sweet, and some hops
F: Med-hi carbonation, with a light body
O: Great refreshing beer overall. My first czech pilsener so I don't have much to compare it to, but I really like it. Could see it being a great session beer.

A good beer to have on hand for my non-crafty friends. Enough hops to make it interesting. Light and crisp enough for a Coors Light fan. Floral notes also make it interesting.

Apple juice color with a thin creamy layer of head. Clear yet still opaque.

Aroma of fresh maris otter, some bread crust, apple and pear. Surprisingly fruity.

Flavor falls flat a bit, tasting a bit like mashed Maris Otter and chewing on dry grain. The fruit is not really there, only hints of skin. Just overall pretty dusty and odd.

Feel is decent - it's crisp and slightly creamy, with a nice carbonation to it.

Overall, one of the worst tasting pilsners I've had. I'll probably dump the rest.

Clear, bright golden hue. Bubbly head with solid retention and solid lacing. Aroma is grass, cracker malt, and light floral notes. The flavor is similar, with some hops spice and herbal qualities. A slight metallic taste to it in the finish. Not bad tho.

This is my second review of a pilsener, first being PIVO from Firestone Walker. This one smells a little nicer, granted it's a little younger.

L: Pours a crystal clear straw-yellow, with two fingers of fine white head that dies down quickly, but lingers as a film. Nice little bit of lacing. Looks a little thin.

S: Smells yeasty of the bat, like sourdough bread. Little bit of spicy hop character in there, tangy notes of apricot and cumquat, but the soft sweet bread smell takes over the finish. Smells farm-y and inviting.

T: Notes of sourdough, white pepper, pear, and lime peel, before a smooth doughy finish that is mostly French bread, but it has a distinctive edge of zucchini (awesome!). Tastes reminiscent of a Belgian ale, but the yeast notes aren't quite so strong and funky. I much prefer this to Stone's Cali-Belgique.

F: Definitely thinner than I prefer. Not very filling, but on the plus side, extremely drinkable.

O: A good starter to help friends learn to appreciate craft beer. Comforting, fresh, unique but not super flavorful. Also great for a go-to, if you prefer malt-forward beers.

Very much like like a pilsner urquell. Good feel in the mouth but finished somewhat skunky and sweet. Not as dry as I'd like it so be, not a crisp finish either. Still 3X better than Stella Artois though.

Poors a nice Golden color with a small head that sustains and more lacing than I was expecting. I bought this specifically because I was looking forward to a refreshing Czech pilsner, but that is not what I got.... This smells of Saaz hops right off the start...And in fact, unlike other "Czech" pilsners, this one is heavy on the hop flavor. I'd say this beer is distinctly American, not Czech at all, and may not even qualify as a pilsner.... But okay......This has a light sweet start from the malts but definitely finishes all Saaz funky hops....it is still potable, but isn't what it advertises itself to be....

L: Poured a pale straw color with a good amount of light coming through the glass. It is mostly clear, but there is some minute sediment floating around. About a finger of nice, white head.

S: Crispy, biscuity nose. The pilsner malts come through nicely. Presence of some bready/pizza crust notes towards the back end. Mild bitterness.

T: Lackluster in this department. I would have liked some more biscuit flavors to come through, but there's just not much there. Most of the flavor lies in the aftertaste.

F: This beer spent some time travelling in a car, which might account for the extra head. It tastes very carbonated. Decent body otherwise, maybe leaning a bit on the light side.

O: I was impressed before trying the beer. It lost some appeal after that. It's okay for a pilsner, but I've certainly had better. I am thinking the time that this spent travelling might have altered it a bit.
