Lagunitas Cappuccino Stout

Poured from 22 oz bottle into a CBS snifter. Served chilled...

A) This is a very dark brown with a frothy tan head. Nice retention and lacing.

S) Delivers a nice fresh roasted coffee aroma. Some toasted malt with a little sweetness too.

T) The coffee flavor is very nice. It's like a mocha blend, because you definitely find some chocolate here as well. A splash of cream, with perhaps a drizzle of caramel. It's hard to believe this is around 10% ABV.

M) Medium to full bodied with pretty soft carbonation. A smooth, creamy treat for the palate.

O) When someone mentions Lagunitas, I pretty much think of their deliciously hoppy offerings, but I have to say this is a fantastic Stout. Glad to recommend this beer.

pours an opaque dark brown with a huge head that hangs around. nose; coffee, hops, & light raisin. taste; roasted malt, coffee, hops, chocolate, and a touch of prunes & sugar on the end. heavy carbonation with fine, tiny bubbles and a soft, creamy mouthfeel. not overly complex, and very easy to drink - abv is tucked in nicely. at $3.99 a bomber, the value proposition is high. :)
