Bomber poured into a nonic pint. I'm not even going to try to decipher the shitty Julian date. I assume this is pretty fresh. Smells fresh on the nose.
Appearance kind of doesn't inspire good feels. Muddy brown amber color and body. Typically frothy, sudsy head with excellent retention (typical for Lagunitas, I mean). A wall of lace extends up towards the lip of the glass. 3.75
Damn, sometimes Lagunitas just kills it with the aroma. This reminds me of Born Yesterday and why I loved that beer. Pungent, sticky fruitiness, mango and pineapple with a layer of flowery notes over it. Toss in some resin and weed notes. Very nice. 4.25
Well, the flavor can't quite deliver, not with that thin watery feel that hits me first. Guess that comes with 3 point whatever percent alcohol. I do get resinous flavors, faint mango, the occasional dank weed note. And I keep drinking. It's so damn light and refreshing, why the hell not. And my tastebuds start coming around to this beer. Floral notes are actually quite pronounced and a bit of orange peeks in.
T- 3.75 M- 4
It's actually tough to decide how much I like this. It's got enough flavor to contemplate and enjoy, but still leaves me wanting. The body and feel are so light you could drink away at this and not think about it. That would make more sense instead of writing this long drawn out review. But then, why is this in bomber format? This beer should be in 24 rack of cans like other Heineken brews. hehe.

Just bought locally today, so must be recently re-released for summer. Served from 22 oz. bottle into glass. Pours medium amber in color, high clarity, with large fluffy white head. Immediate strong hop aroma, a medley of tropical fruit, citrus and pine resin, with non of the three being overly dominant. No significant malt aroma. Flavor is significantly weaker than the aroma, still almost entirely hops, but more pine and earthy flavors rather than fruitiness. A small amount of clean, simple malt flavor. A medium high hop bitterness at the end. Body is low, almost watery with medium carbonation. Overall I think this beer is a great example of a session IPA. The aroma is complex and enticing, but the comparatively simple flavor is super easy on the palate. A relatively bitter ending and light body increases the drinkability. This is a perfect beer for summer and stoooopidly slammable (if only it came in twelve packs of cans).

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a Lagunitas mason jar.
Appearance: Pours a somewhat hazy golden orange with a moderate amount of bubbles. About a finger of white head that settles into a thin patchy layer.
Smell: A juicy and dank hop forward aroma with a scent of citrus fruit and pine. Tropical hop scent of grapefruit, orange peel, mango, pineapple, and tangerine. Earthy hop scent of pine resin, grass, and cannabis. Malt scent of grains and cracker with yeast. A very solid aroma.
Taste: Like it smells, a juicy and earthy hop driven taste with notes of citrus and pine. Upfront tropical hop notes of orange peel, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, and tangerine. Earthy hop notes of pine resin, grass, and spice. Background malt notes of grains and cracker along with some yeast. A pretty nice taste.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Very juicy and fairly oily with a drying finish.
Overall: A very good hoppy session brew. Nice citrus and pine flavor.

22 oz bottle in Oregon.
Clear copper colored body topped with a large, foamy, durable beige head.Near medium body and lively carbonation.Earthy-fruity flavor that's more enjoyable than the aroma and more malty than the aroma suggests. Mild bitterness builds into the aftertaste.
Exceptionally interesting, bold and complex low ABV beer.

Appearance - Pours mostly clear and golden orange in color with a near 2-finger, off-white head. Good retention, then dissipates to a thin, broken layer of surface suds. A few spots and a broken line or two make up the lace.
Smell - Red grapefruit, a touch of black pepper and maybe some peach?
Taste - Did I miss something? Very little in the way of flavor upfront, with distant citrus and a hint of spice. The bulk of the flavor is found in the back end, but using the word 'bulk' is deceiving, as lingering pith bitterness is weak even when compared to other sessions.
Mouthfeel - Light bodied with wimpy carbonation, giving way to a wet, watery finish.
Overall - What is this? Did I get a bunk bottle or are other reviewers too smitten by the Lagunitas name to see this for what it is? Weak, even by session standards, and I shan't buy this again.

The Down Low is another solid offering from Lagunitas. I tried this at a buddy's house it poured a clear copper with white head that left a spotty lace. The scent was quite nice....it had pine and citrus. The taste was fairly evenly balanced with citrus pine hop with a slight roast malt. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a good beer and definitely worth a try.

This was poured into a becher pint glass. The appearance was a hazy semi-burnt copper color. Sly transparency. Light carbonation is seen rising at a moderate pace. One finger white foamy head quickly dissipates. Moderately messy semi-foamy lacing. The smell started off with subtle sweet peach, dried melon flesh. Subtle brittle bitter citrus rind. White pepper. The flavor brings it all together decently. Semi-dry sweet to spicy aftertaste with a quick dry spicy finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation rides fairly light. White pepper spice hits on the tongue nicely. Overall, it works, I can see it. Perhaps again.

Great dark amber color, medium-small head.
Smell is hoppy and spicy with medium malt in the background.
Taste is a well rounded IPA with a bit of spice at the back of the mouth
At first I was scared of these big craft 4% abv ipas, they've actually all been excellent.

From the 650 ml. bottle. Sampled on July 28, 2016.
The pour is bronze golden amber with a lingering white fizzy head and busy carbonation. Decent clarity.
The aroma emits a notable citrus and somewhat spicy hop character with only the vaguest toasted pale malt note.
Light to medium body.
The taste ends up being surprisingly more bitter than the citrus and spicy aroma might suggest. Ends clean and fairly crisp. Slight lingering finish.
