Served from the bottle, 2017 seasonal brew into a chilled mug. A bit of a thin light brown, creme colored, head, good up front hoppy burnt roast flavor. Seems to taste like grapefruit and a hint of juniper scent in there too. Looong finish on the hops that sits in the back on the roof of your mouth, a finish I enjoy. It is a little bit warm on the finish, a very slight hint of alcohol hot, but well concealed by the loads of hoppiness on the back end. I would buy this again in a heart beat. Really nice finish as the last of the contents warms up a bit. A full rich hoppy California style Ale. Exceptional value if you can get a case of it for the Holidays.

Local beer store had this as a single and I took a chance. First of all, I couldn't find any dates or date codes anywhere on the bottle.
Poured cloudy brownish color with a tan head. The smell is sweet and almost of a maple syrup. The flavor is sweet and has a warmth boozie feel. A decent beer, if you like sweetness in your beers. Not my kind of beer but hey, it was a one off shot.

Pours a hazy amber. Thick foam. Malty aroma. Big flavors. Bitter hop body followed my syrupy malt sweetness. Light brown sugar finish. You can taste the alcohol. Complex but well balanced. An excellent strong ale.

One of my old favorites, this is a big boozy sugary drink with a decent scent and look, and dangerous drinkability. I used to get sixers of this for $8 back in college, and many a blurry night were spent in its embrace
