Notes / Commercial Description:
Tropically Hoppy. Light, yet Full-Bodied. Bright and Citrusy. Word.

The magical, mystical 12th of Never is a blend of Old and New School hops that play bright citrus, rich coconut, and papaya-esque flavors, all on a solid stage of English puffed wheat. Tropically hoppy. Light, yet full-bodied. Bright and citrusy. The 12th of Never Ale is everything we’ve learned about making hop-forward beer expressed in a moderate voice. Pale, cold, slightly alcoholic and bitter. It’s all we know.

These 12oz mini-kegs (AKA cans) are an exciting new option for us, and we are stoopid stoked at the opportunity for y’all to take us to all those new, nelophobic locations…

Great citrus smell, pleasantly bitter hop forward brew. A real solid thirst quencher.

Well this is a surprise! I was expecting Ale but got an IPA. Way too Hoppy for an Ale. Even if it's Pale. But even so it grows on you the way Alcohol always does. By the 4th one I could have been drinking Yuengling for all I knew.

Someone said this smells and tastes like Grapefruit. I agree. I was trying to pin it down and some kindred soul did it for me.

Thanks kindred soul. Grapefruit is good for you, don't cha no?

Seems like I should be able to handle 6 beers at 5.5, but I am a lightweight due to shift work. Ha Ha!

Will buy again on the 12th of Never. Also holding your breath seems to bring out the Balancing Malt a little more.

Clothes pins optional. Actually I can drink a lot more than this if it is a Maltier Bier.

DATE: January 27, 2018... OCCASION: A whirlwind day of activities ends with a boys' night watching The Desolation of Smaug... GLASSWARE: Hobgoblin extended pint... pours a tawny golden yellow, clear and bubble-laden, with off-white head that displays like car wash suds... retention is half-fingered, its lacing sparse... light resin, a splash of lemon and mango, faint spice, strange coconut (?!), toasted bread malt, popcorn and butter, with a trace of banana and pepper--a considerable cornucopia considering its rather pedestrian 5.5% ABV... a textured, medium-bodied sip, each begging the next with a rewarding bitterness that finishes with a honeyed finish... creamy to an extent, with the lemon and tropical fruits making for a summer's sensation... toasted malts ground the profile, while the coconut, orange, and apple mix with the resin to produce a fruity, uplifting experience that Lagunitas seems to do on the daily... a pale ale that reaches the height of tempting its drinker into seeking it once again...

Good value for a light bodied hoppy ale. Consistent and a good price in 12 pack cans. Campgrounds and beach beer for those wanting hops.
