Notes / Commercial Description:
Tropically Hoppy. Light, yet Full-Bodied. Bright and Citrusy. Word.

The magical, mystical 12th of Never is a blend of Old and New School hops that play bright citrus, rich coconut, and papaya-esque flavors, all on a solid stage of English puffed wheat. Tropically hoppy. Light, yet full-bodied. Bright and citrusy. The 12th of Never Ale is everything we’ve learned about making hop-forward beer expressed in a moderate voice. Pale, cold, slightly alcoholic and bitter. It’s all we know.

These 12oz mini-kegs (AKA cans) are an exciting new option for us, and we are stoopid stoked at the opportunity for y’all to take us to all those new, nelophobic locations…

I normally enjoy most of the beers made by Lagunitas. Thus one totally let me down. Save your money or buy something worth drinking.

Poured into a tall Peroni glass. Smells of grapefruit and lime. Thick frothy head. Color is a hazy greenish yellow. Nice tiny bubbles. Sour citrus taste of grapefruit and lime. Despite being 5.5% alcohol there's no noticeable alcohol taste. A nice refreshing beer on a hot Southern California day! (My only beef is with the writing on the can. It's illegible. Light grey type on light purple. Get a graphic designer, guys!)

Can

A: Malty with mild citrus and tropical fruit hop aromas.

A: Gold color, clear, with a dense, uniform white head with adequate retention.

T: Pine and light resin, coupled with tropical fruit hop flavors, followed by pale, biscuit malt sweetness, with a moderate hop bitterness and dry finish.

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

O: Alright; the beer could use greater hop expression in the aroma and the pine/tropical fruit notes clash a bit.

If you pack summer in a can, this would be it. Fantastic refreshing beer to suck back in the yard while grilling or whatever. No need to get critical here....just get some, sit out in the yard enjoy!

Pours a hazy straw color with one finger of stark white head. Head retention is great. Aroma is pale, biscuit, and bread malts, with light wheat and floral hops behind. Flavor profile is floral and pine hops at a modest volume. Pale, biscuit, and light bread malts form the bulk of the flavor profile. Mouth feel is fizzy with a crisp edge. It has a medium-thin consistency lending itself to being a refreshing beer. Overall, a refreshing, standard ale with good hops and malts, and nothing outlandish.

Can. Reviewed from notes.

578ml can format.

Pours pale straw with frenetic carbonation. The big, chunky head drapes the glass in lace ridges. Floral, citrusy, resiny hop aromas and some light maltiness in the nose. The taste is lemony with some tea and herbal hop character. Bready maltiness provides good balance. Light bodied. The mouthfeel is medium bitter,

A nice Pale Ale. Hoppy and crushable.

Pours out a clear golden straw color with thick white head that last and lasts. Its not leaving. The lacing is insange as well. Its everywhere.Carbonation is rushing to the top.

In the nose i get tropical hops, pineapple, wheat, lemon grass and sweet orange.

A little light on flavor. Seems watered down almost. All the flavors are there just toned down.

Feel good. Light, smooth and pleasant carbonation.

This is a throw back tasting and feeling beer. Although at 5.5 abv it with catch up with you.

355ml can.
L: Slightly hazy, yellow/gold colour, thin & soapy head.
S: Light citrus, light caramel, leaf mulch.
T: Bitter with a blend of soft resin and tropical fruit. Flavour is understated. Slightly metallic aftertaste.
F: Light body, light carbonation, dry but thin.
O: Good level of bitterness but lacking flavour and somewhat unsatisfying.
