Another great beer from lagunitas especially at this price point.

The appearance is a hazy golden orange with good lacing and head retention.

The aroma is big tropical fruit, pine, grapefruit, dankness and tropical fruit.

The taste is tropical fruit, citrus, grapefruit, hoppy dankness, and earthy bitterness.

The palate is medium with a nice lingering bitterness that attacks the palate.

Overall this is a great beer that is more like an ipa than pale ale.

Pale opaque yellow-orange with a minimal white film and thick white ring.

Smell is dank with notes of onion, herbs, lemon, and sticky peach.

Taste is toffee, bittersweet hops bringing grapefruit, orange, lemon, dank herbs, cracker. Yummy.

Frothy carbonated feel.

Poured from bottle into tulip, safe pour yielded 1 finger cream colored head, so so retention and good lacing. Bright hazy golden in the glass. Smells of sweet malt, grapefruit, pineapple and pine. Taste is initially sweet malt, then pineapple and the grapefruit shows up in the middle and end with a mild grapefruit pith bitterness on the finish. Good mouthfeel, a little prickly, but full tasting.

This beer pours a slightly hazy deep yellow with an average head. The aroma is nicely fragrant with grapefruit, tangelo, pineapple, and some pine. The flavor is fruity and bitter, with grapefruit, pineapple, tangelo, mandarin, and a solid biter pine and resin finis. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, and very fizzy. Overall this is a great beer - fruity and bitter, it has great balance and drinkability. Not as transformatively amazing as the Born Yesterday, but still quite excellent.

On tap:
Cloudy pale burnt yellow orange - gotten used to this but still not the most appealing. Decent head, some early lacing.

Nose is orange first, then grapefruit; swirl and then add a bunch of grapefruit rind and even more pith. Pine tree sits over in the corner.

Taste is very similar to the nose, though the juice is quick to leave in favor of the pith, and the fir tree has moved a lot closer to me.

Feel isn't as soft as I expect from these cloudy beers, maybe because the bitterness is pretty raw.

Enjoyable for a more classic west coast bitter bomb with a splash of NE-style juice.

Tastes so much better after I let my 12pk sit for a week or two. Nose has become double the amount of citrus juiciness.

L - Moderately hazy golden color that gave me like half an inch of head
S - Grapefruit, tangerine, orange, very clean
T - Citrus rind bitterness coupled with various juicy citrus fruits and such
F - Very easy to drink. Has that hop bitterness that we all love but not overpowering. I could session this

I don't care what people say about Lagunitas lately, this beer is insanely good!
