Drank this many times in 2016, pulled it off my Born Yesterday review because I didn't know they had separate entries. Drank a lot of this one in my trusty Lagunitas Bell jar glasses. It is a cloudy beer with a gold color that reminds me of some sort of dirty juice. Super active carbonation, foam, and lacing. The nose is a very strong hop scent with a juicy background. Best words to describe the taste are zingy hops. There is a slight bitterness and juicy background behind it. A very full mouth feel with a slightly strong alcohol presence. A total wow beer.

On-tap at THG.

A: Pours a clear light golden with a thick cap of dense foam. A greasy, dense, and thick film lasted the whole beer through, leaving huge thick rings of laced down the glass.
S: Fresh citrus hops. Clean and crisp overall. Fragrant but not complex. Smells great.
T: Super fresh hops over a crisp drying pale backbone. Slight biscuit in the finish with green herbal bitterness. Citrus throughout but hints of juicy melon and a kiss of sweet fruit nectar. No real bitterness.
M: Crisp and clean mouthfeel, light and easy to drink without any sweetness or overly slick greasy from hop oils.
O: My first "cryo fresh" hop beer (that I know of). Exceptionally hoppy and very, very smooth and easy to drink while staying light.

Just another bad ass Lagunitas offering.

Dank hops attack the nostrils right off the bat. Finishes sticky and a bit dry, wanting another sip immediately. Great array of flavors on this one. Pineapple, grapefruit, orange, pine. Sweet malty finish.

A winner indeed. One of the better APAs you'll have the pleasure of pouring down your gullet.

Dayyyymn this is dank. Super hoppy, resinous, sticky. Not dry but refreshing, which is nice. Keeping this unfiltered put it over the top. Almost a palate wrecker. Delicious.

eyes...
pale yellow and cloudy, some uneven fizz buzzing about, the cloudiness is consistent throughout the glass, your typical unfiltered pale perhaps a little lighter in color than expected

nose...
skunky green hops, pine with tropical fruit underpinning but not overly so, so so green like fresh cut herbs, like ripping basil into shreds and shoving it up your nose, supremely floral, I just lost the last 10 minutes of my life sniffing this

taste etc...
kind of under carbonated, definite oils haunt the tongue, strong tropical hops flavor with a backbone of green hops, but the tropical hops make a comeback and win out to my chagrin, drinks smooth for 7% but for me after a while the tropical hops are too much

verdict?
amazing nose on this, fresh as hell tasting but too much of the trop hops, just not my thing

As soon as you open it you smell wonderful tropical hops! Tastes just as good. Thank you Lagunitas for making such a tasty beer for a reasonable price.

Hazy burnt golden body with white bubbly head. Aroma of papaya, watermelon, pear, green apple, grass, and sweet mint. Tastes of watermelon, pear, green apple, grass, pine, mint, big hop bitterness. Medium bodied with heavy carbonation.

Aroma is dank hops, fruit/citrus and slightly perfumed. The flavor is citrus, dank/nutty hops, slightly grainy malts, oily texture and a bitter/spicy finish.

Pours a hazy golden orange color with a finger of bright white head. The head is gone quickly, leaving a few splotches of lace before settling into a halo.

The aroma brings a ton of orange and grapefruit, followed by a huge wave of tropical fruits: pineapple, papaya, and a touch of honeydew melon. The back end has a fair bit of dry, bready malt.

The taste is a citrus bomb: Oranges, tangerines, and grapefruit lead the way. The back end is filled with pineapple before a sticky pine finish.

The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Very creamy and smooth, yet a tad sticky.

Overall, a great pale ale that is exploding with flavor and has a nice balance of sweet and bittersweet fruits, with a touch of malt in the back.
