We’ve discovered that the Lagunitas brewers are part time alchemists... they’ve figured out how to keep wet hops wet all freakin’ year long! Poured out a hazy, golden yellow color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of citrus, grapefruit and floral notes. Nice bitter bite and a lot of tropical fruit flavors.

On tap at the Village Tavern in Geneseo, NY.

This one pours a golden hazy yellow, with some orange hues as well. There's a small white head, and lots of lacing.

Smells like pineapple, mango, and guava, bit of dank, some grapefruit on pine. The nose doesn't pop quite as hard as regular Born Yesterday, but it still smells quite nice.

The taste is much the same. It's a definite step down from the mouthgasm that regular Born Yesterday was, but this is still a really top notch pale. It has less of a bitter bite than regular Born Yesterday. There's still a bit of dank pine/weed thing, but it's less pronounced, and there's a hugely juicy hop flavor- tangerine and pineapple mostly.

This is light bodied, with a super juicy mouthfeel, and a good level of carbonation.

This is a pretty cool accomplishment from Lagunitas- having this beer available with frozen wet hops is kinda weird, but if it makes beers like this- I'm down.

Pours a hazy golden orange color with a finger of bright white head. The head is gone quickly, leaving a few splotches of lace before settling into a halo.

The aroma brings a ton of orange and grapefruit, followed by a huge wave of tropical fruits: pineapple, papaya, and a touch of honeydew melon. The back end has a fair bit of dry, bready malt.

The taste is a citrus bomb: Oranges, tangerines, and grapefruit lead the way. The back end is filled with pineapple before a sticky pine finish.

The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Very creamy and smooth, yet a tad sticky.

Overall, a great pale ale that is exploding with flavor and has a nice balance of sweet and bittersweet fruits, with a touch of malt in the back.

On tap. Brilliant white head, light orange color, slight citrus nose, mouthfeel is amazingly creamy, flavor is spot-on with minimal bitterness and delicious taste. Worth seeking out.

Hazy gold color. A medium=sized white head that persisted. Some beautiful lacing.
Herbal, piney aroma. Sweet malt.
Taste followed the nose. Herbal, piney hops. A hint of fruit. Caramel.
Nicely hopped.

My rating for this beer is specific to "Born Again Yesterday Unfiltered Ale" [Summer 2018 - Chicago, Illinois] ...The descriptive words, "Pale Ale"are not on the label. unlike the current Winter 2018 run of "Born Again Yesterday Pale Ale"

A bought a case of Unfiltered Ale and each time I have one my rating on it keeps going up! The Lagunitas Brewing Company is consistently excellent with everything they produce!

Was a big fan of the Born Yesterday in September.
A-An aggressive pour into a Hamms bear pint glass provides a blast of 3 fingers of big bubbled pure white foam atop a clear golden beverage. Nice lacing.
S-Aromatic hops with whiffs of dank, tropical fruit, hop resin. Clean barley malt says hi too.
T-Hops reminiscent of flavors of blueberry, passionfruit and a bit of grass and evergreen boughs. Significant barley malt backbone to carry the hops.
M-Moderately to high carbonation. A lingering hoppy flavor with low to moderate bitterness. A nice, almost creamy mouthfeel is welcoming.
Overall-still a tasty beverage after bringing those frozen hops out of storage, not quite as bright and juicy as I remember Born Yesterday but still a smart idea from Lagunitas and a beer I'm glad to have a 12er of.
