Had on tap. First off I love the beers that are not afraid to take risks. I especially like the ones like this that succeed in their vision! Has the patented single ipa flavors from the west coast, golden like hops with some spicey and piney ones along with tropical and citrus fruits complimenting. Meanwhile, the body and the taste really take on a more oaty and heavier feel to add fun creamy and grainy texture. Great experiment!

a big old beefy hazy ipa, a little unrefined for lagunitas, even in a hazy, but a huge oaty base on it and some exposed alcohol definitely make it drink like an imperial. fluffy rusty colored thick orange pour with a sturdy white head from the tap, looks sedimented and a bit dull as a result. the nose is nice, peachy and stone fruit driven, with some bitterness apparent, high for the style, some alcohol warmth, and a nuttiness to the grain, some wheat in the mix too, crystal malt richness in support of all the hops, red apple, zested orange, and raw honey are also present. the flavor follows the nose, a touch green with some bite on the back end, strong citrus happening from navel orange to white grapefruit, a light almost noble spiciness persists as well. its resinous on the palate, somewhat sticky and weedy, dank factor is high, even for lagunitas, and i dont mind the bitterness at all. a bit filling, a one and done kind of beer, but well hopped with a pretty unique fruity and botanical profile. fine carbonation, and some multigrain appeal. solid but they went on to bigger and better things in this space after this one, hazy memory comes to mind as a hazy double after this one that was vastly superior...

Tasted in a snifter from draft at Consume on May 3, 2018. This beer is a HUGE un-freakin'-filtered Oat-and-Wheat-mashed, hop-blasted Double IPA. We double dry-hopped this beast with some Loral 291, Hallertau Blanc, Citra and Galaxy hops for that extra double punch.

5/3/18: $6 16 ounce pour into jar at Lagunitas' Chicago Brewery. Cloudy straw color pour, razor thin head capped off and lacing. Wheat and hops aroma, lemon, very nice. Lemon bitter dry taste, excellent. Carbonation holds well, dry mouth feel, excellent. Overall excellent offering.

On tap at Salinger's in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a hazy golden orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like a tangerine hop cloud, with peach, mango, pine, grass, and and lemon.
This is a really great IPA- I'm glad to see Lagunitas can roll with the times and make a hype-y IPA that works well. It's so pillowy and soft, like a sheep made out of tangerines and peaches. There's a little bit of bitterness, but not much, and just tons of juicy hop flavor.
This is soft, creamy, and super drinkable, with a good level of carbonation.
I am really impressed with this one- I always forget how much Lagunitas floats my boat.
