The appearance on this beer is very pleasing. It gives off a golden-orange color. You can see the carbonation on this beer settling to the top through the light, which looks very cool. Once poured, it produced about two fingers of a head.
The aroma is fantastic. First intake of this beer, you get big hints of tangerine and other citrus qualities. There's also a bit of a piney quality mixed in with that aroma.
The mouthfeel on this beer is quite bitter. When it sits on the tongue, it lets out big hop characters. Middle of the mouth, those hops continue to come out and overtake the taste of this beer, which means that it holds up to its name.
This is one of Lagunitas most known beers and has been around for a while. It's even better that it is year-round. Overall, this beer's taste holds up well and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Note: I tried this beer at close to room temperature, letting it sit outside of a 30 degree fridge for about 45 minutes.

Hop Stoopid, Lagunitas.

Poured into Tulip, ruby with a finger of white head and good retention.

Smells piny and hoppy at the same time.

Taste is a lot of malt up front with a lot of hop to counter. Pine and resign is in the finish.

Very good balance. Overall? Yes, Hop Stoopid is the pretty much the same as Pliny the Elder.
