Appearance: Clear, light copper color. About a 1/4 to 1/2 finger of white head, which didn't stick around too long. Moderate lacing.

Smell: Sweet, caramely with some grasses and citrus up front.

Taste: Thick malty start, with a hoppy finish. The hops are more spicy/herbally than most IPAs. Covers the 8% alcohol well.

Mouth: Medium to medium light body, slightly oily, with medium to medium light carbonation.

Overall: A different IPA; it's similar to other Lagunitas beers, but with distinctively different hops (to which I prefer Maximus.) In my opinion, it's a good beer executed with the wrong hops.

Revisiting a beer that I probably haven't had in three years, but one I drank alot of when getting into craft beer.

Looks great. Golden with a lot of lacing as the head recedes.

Smells a bit catty to me, not alot of fruits etc.

Still tastes good to my palate. finishes big, bitter and dry. Some malt sweetness. This beer probably had a lot to do with deveolping my beer palate.

Nice to meet you again old friend.
