not the expected from lagunitas, a clean and mild kettle sour, a winner for its simplicity and for how only mildy sour it is, not even as tart as lemonade, and no lactose or anything it doesnt seem, so a lot more drinkable than most of these, while still being bright and refreshing and flavorful. sunny, softly hazy, glowing yellow, short but creamy white head, looks great! the pineapple doesnt quite hit all the way natural to my nose and palate, but its close, a little sweet and candied, a little canned and less fresh, without that acidic pop (even in the sour base), not as up front and intense either, but its definitely summery and attractive, a bit mouthwatering. the yuzu addition is a cool touch, not only does it bring a little more pucker to the back half of this to balance the sugar from the pineapple, but it adds a whole new fruit wrinkle between meyer lemon and white grapefruit to me, a little pithy bitterness, and an oily zested authenticity that lets the pineapple ride along in a better place than it would be on its own, real juicy. love the white wheaty creaminess of the body, the low sourness, and the slightly herbal hop note this finishes with. clean and tidy on the souring, great carbonation and vivacity to this, and overall way ahead of the curve in a style that has by now lost its subtlety. bravo!

Tasted in a snifter from draught at Firkin on August 17, 2018. Limited release sour brewed with pineapple. A decent fruited sour that would be nice for a hot sunny picnic or BBQ.

Sour and pineapple. Need I say more? The sweetness of the pineapple worked well against the tartness of the brew otherwise. Really though, the pineapple was front and center for this brew and was damn good.
