Censored pours a clear, rusty-copper color with an inch of off-white foam capping the brew. Rich aromas of caramel dominate, with just a touch of grain and fruity hops noticeable. Caramel and bready flavors open on the palate and are met with a moderate level of spicy and fruit hop bitterness on the finish. A higher level of carbonation, and a medium body round out the mouthfeel of this crisp finishing beer. Joking or not, these guys make GREAT beers!

Appearance is clear copper, with an average sized head and good retention. The smell is pretty weak, but I detect mainly bready malts with a bit of lemon scent. The taste is sweet malts up front, with a piney resinous bitterness picking up through the finish. A good beer overall, but nothing really stands out to make it exceptional.

A: I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this beer is copper colored. 1 finger's width of head that has a long retention and leaves a fair smattering of lacing.

S: Very sweet and malty smelling, some nice toasted grains and a hint ofcitrusy hops on the finish to round out the aroma.

T: Once again, the sweet malts are at the forefront on this beer. There is a gentle flavor of toasted grains, toffee and a slightly biscuity flavor. The finish is citrusy and slightly bitter, helping to balance out the intense sweetness that comes up front.

M: Moderately heavy body, aided by a fair amount of stickiness that coats the mouth. Carbonation is very prickly.

O: A solid beer. Well-balanced. Sweet, but not overly so with a bitter kick on the finish to keep it from getting cloying. Not the most interesting or exciting beer in the world, but easy to drink.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass

Appearance –Pours a beautiful clear copper color with a thick and rocky cream colored head. The head fades quite slowly over time, leaving a nice level of lacing on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The smell is sweet and malty with notes of caramel and toffee backed by a lightly roasted malt and a grainy aroma.

Taste – The taste is fairly uniform throughout, yet very nice and smooth. It is largely of sweet caramel and brown sugar mixed with flavors of a biscuit breadiness and flavors of roasted malt. More toward the middle to the end there is a very light amount of earthy hop which comes to the tongue all in all leaving a nice sweet but clean taste to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel- The body of the brew is on the averages to slightly below average side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is quite average. The thinner body is actually complimenting of the sweeter flavors of the brew and make it quite easy to drink.

Overall-This is a tasty amber ale a little on the sweeter side with great smoothness and drinkability.
