This is a top notch session beer. Pours a dark copper color with amber hints. The head is off beat tan with great retention. The smell is of lemons and pine, the caramel malts seem well done, the flavors intertwine into a great symphony. The taste is exceptional, with every taste you will pick up flavors. The floral/citrus hops in the taste get attacked right away by deep roasted caramel malts. The flavors are perfect. Perhaps my favorite session beer, goes good with meats.

This was my second beer from Lagunitas. I'm becoming a big fan of the label.

A - Pours amber/copper in color, settles quickly to a clear body with a thin, off-white head.

S - Malty caramel comes through. Slight hops. No one major dominating aroma - well balanced.

T - This is a rollercoaster of a beer. Smooth all the way through though. Starts off with the caramel malt, then the citrus hops, then a sweet finish.

M - Well built, not overly carbonated, not overly alcoholic.

D - Good session beer. I liked it and now that I can get it locally I'll be getting more.

Lagunitas, synonymous with QUALITY. That's what I am beginning to think. As soon as you break the seel you will smell the love and care in this creation, then soon taste it! While it produces a fantastic malt character, hops will proclaim it's dominance in this brew. Rich in flavor, satisfactorily complex, and quaffable, what more do you want? This unique rendering of the red ale makes for a satisfying drink all-round. Prost!

(Pulled this bottle out of refrigeration 20minutes prior to drinking.)

Finally got to try this one after having the whole line-up mutiple times over. It is a great copper ale well balanced with just the right amount of bitterness.
