Pours a hazy golden copper color with a a pasty white head. The first note on the nose is passion fruit, then a healthy dose of coconut, followed by ripe pineapple, some banana, and a bit of tangerine. Wow.

The passion fruit and coconut vie for pole position on the taste, and they are truly a dynamic duo - but the pineapple does not cower in the corner, instead it launches a fusillade of flavor punches to balance the passion fruit and coconut.

And then, Mr Banana (thank you, Kviek yeast) arrives and, accompanied by the tangerine flavors, guides things to a tropical paradise of an , fruity flavor finish.

I don’t know if it’s my palate on this particular day, but this beer is absolutely knocking me off my feet. Really well executed, IMHO.

"double dry-hopped IPA brewed with Sabro, Cashmere and Southern Passion hops and fermented with Kviek yeast. "
8.5 %-AbV , 54.20 IBU. $2.19 for a 12 oz bottle at BevCo.

Pours out to a hazy golden, forming a tall rocky white head with beautiful retention and nice sheets of lace, carbonation is moderate ~2.5 carbs. The nose is of pine, cat pee, and MJ. Some papaya and mango in there too. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, a little syrup at first, and with an odd subtly metallic/grassy tartness, maybe due to all the hops, maybe due to the Kviek yeast, which I've never had before. Despite the high temperatures of fermentation, I don't taste other off flavors like fusels or oxidation. The taste is much as the aroma...catty, piney and MJ. Bitterness is medium. Finishes dry.

An odd duck. I'm not really digging the wierd metallic tartness and grassiness here, and I don't know if thats the Kviek or not, but I wouldn't buy it again.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 12 fl oz bottle on August 17, 2019. Brewed in collaboration with Shorts Brewing. Double dry hopped with Sabro, Cashmere and Southern Passion. Probably my favorite beer made with Kveik yeast.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 7/23/2019. Pours hazy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky of white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, coconut, guava, red apple, gooseberry, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, mint, cedar, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, coconut, guava, red apple, gooseberry, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, mint, cedar, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness; and yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, coconut, guava, red apple, gooseberry, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, mint, cedar, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and sticky/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 8.5%. Overall this is a fantastic DIPA. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and bready malt flavors; very smooth, easy, and fairly crisp to drink with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish; not overly aggressive. Fantastic Sabro, Cashmere, Southern Passion hops; and Kviek yeast profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, dank, earthy hops with fruity/spicy yeast; and a nice bready malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with crisp resin dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and outstanding style example as expected of both breweries.

Pineapple bomb.... tons of citrusy pineapple juice...

Good solid beer if a touch one dimensional?

If you like your IPAs loaded with pineapple juice, this one is for you...
