Very Good
Hazy WonderHazy Wonder
Notes: This fascinating ferment is full of fabulous Sabro, Comet, Citra and Cashmere hops for a smooth, tropical fruitiness. A slightly bitter, densely hazy phenomenon that's strangely light in mouthfeel, keeping you satiated and still coming back for more.

Enjoyed at the walk up bar at Marco island brewery, 10/9/21. Above average solid beer. Light overall on the aromas and taste. Dave likes this one better than I, but it's decent. Very slight candied pineapple on the aroma. The flavor comes after the initial buzz of carbonation, pineapple without the sweetness and lemon zest. The end.

12 ounce can in a tulip IPA glass.

A 2-plus f sudsy white cap, effectively a result of the glass, tops a hazy light mustard yellow colored liquid. Lots of web lacing.

The aromas are light; lemon, cedar, mint, tropical fruits.

Tropical fruit flavor and a slight wooden note.

It’s light and drinkable. Hops lean to juice rather than bitterness. Mint and wood in the finish.

Very good and good drinking as hazy IPAs go.

Purchased as a single can from Kroger for $1.67. Poured into a nonic pint glass.

L - Hazy dandelion with a three-finger frothy cream-colored head.
S - Juicy citrus, pine candy, and a bit of floral base to everything. Hints at apricot, with a bit of wheat.
T - Sweet candied orange and grapefruit peels. Petunia and rosewater. The flavor slowly fades into a rather muted pine, with some lemongrass undertones. Leaning towards the sweeter end of the spectrum.
F - Medium body, medium carbonation. Very easy to drink. Refreshing.
O - Great lunchtime ale! Very fruity and rather sweet, but still mostly hoppy notes. The experience felt like it sort of lacked a certain "pizazz". Flavors began to seem more damp and muted from the middle of the glass onwards. I probably won't buy this again, but it was pretty good with my club sandwich.

12oz can served in an angular wineglass. Date stamp is 175, which I believe is June 24th, so this is a little over two months old.

Pours a pretty hazy light golden with a maybe one finger head that collapses into a thick curtain and a sparse collection of islands. Smell is mostly citrus, maybe a hint of old hay.

Taste is mostly along the same lines, but fairly mild. I get more of a grain flavor out of it than I would expect. There's a little bit of bitterness on the back end.

Mouthfeel is fairly light and dry. Overall...it's fine. Nothing special, but not something to avoid.

On tap at The Angry Goat Pub in Rochester, NY.

This one pours a semi-hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like lemon, lime, weed, and melon.

This has a distinct lightness to it - a cloud like feeling, like the hop character is floating up over nothing. There's no malt here, which is fine, with a not-over-the-top juicy character to it.

This is crisp, clean, and very light bodied, maybe a little bit thin, but definitely pretty refreshing.

Although I think Lagunitas does better with their more traditionally-styled West Coast IPAs, this is a solid and safe foray in hazy IPAs.

Pours a lightly hazy pale gold with a nice white head with excellent retention and persistent lacing. Moderate carbonation. Nose of citrus, pineapple, slightly resinous. Mouthfeel is smooth and medium bodied. The 6% ABV and low IBU lend towards an exceptionally sessionable IPA.
Palate is bursting with grapefruit. Tropical notes are more subtle, I found primarily melon. Nicely balanced bitterness from the hops on the finish.

Not a typical NE IPA. Not bursting with resinous hops. Very smooth and easy drinking with a really nice flavor profile. I would certainly buy this again.

Pours a hazy lemony color with decent fluffy head. The aroma lemon/pineapple notes and piney resin. The flavor is surprisingly light, it tastes like it looks if that makes any sense. This tastes like a session IPA, it has a very creamy light mouthfeel. There is also a juiciness component to the flavor as well so this could be one of those beers to introduce non IPA drinkers to the world of IPAs. Not sure this is really a true IPA, more like a tropical lemon pale ale but it's worth a try, probably won't get it again there are tons of other Lagunitas offerings that are much better than this one.

12 ounce can poured into a tulip glass.

L---Hazy, bright golden color. Fluffy white head faded down to a cap fairly quickly and left excellent lacing.

S---Fruity. Lemon, lime, orange and tropical notes.

T---Follows the nose, but isn't as strong.

F---Lighter than expected, almost airy. Well carbonated.

O---It's alright. I won't get it again.

L: Pours a pale yellow accompanied by a tall white head with a lot of retention.
S: Smells like sweet oranges upfront, citrus, pine, malts.
T: Taste follows the nose, has a lot of citrus.
F: Somewhat thin, high carbonation, light-medium bodied.
O: Okay IPA. I would like it to have more of a malt backbone.

12oz can served in a pint glass. Beer is super hazy pale and sickly straw yellow. Murky and ugly with a thin white head. Really bright, fresh fruit aroma with mango and passionfruit. Flavor brings in pineapple and guava along with maybe a hint of spicy lemongrass. White peppercorn? Quite thin on body, malt, and mouthfeel, very much a wheat IPA kind of profile, but with less alpha bitterness.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a hazy light orange amber color with a one finger head of white foam. The head has a good level of retention, fading to leave a good sum of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strongest of a orange smell mixed with a bit of yeast and some other tropical aromas of tangerine and mango. Along with these smells comes some herbal and grapefruit hop smells as well as a little bit of hay.
Taste – The taste begins with a moderately bready taste with a good showing of yeast and grain and a moderate amount orange and tangerine sweetness. As the taste advances the tangerine and orange gets stronger all while the bready drops out a bit. At the same time some herbal and grapefruit hop come to the tongue. Toward the end, the fruit amps up more and with a little bit of an increase in some hay and herb, leaving one with a moderately citrus fruit and decently hopped up taste to linger on the tongue..
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather normal. For the style and the tastes the feel is pretty decent and makes for a rather easy sipper.
Overall – A decent hazy IPA overall. Easy drinking and rather tasty.

Serviceable. Had in some massive can and kept in their since the nose of hazy hops was so faint. Some melon notes with the mild pine on the palate. Would go back for another though.

Look: A bright lemon yellow, opaque but very slightly translucent brew, with a one finger soapy white head of foam. Great head retention and lacing.

Aroma: Honeydew and cantaloupe with a backdrop of spicy orange rind, pine resin, and soft, biscuity malted grains.

Taste: Fruity and bright. Upfront; bittersweet grapefruit and orange marmalade, with notes of honeydew in the background, there's even a slight banana + blueberry flavor. Goes slightly waxy and bitter for a moment midpalate then transitions into flavors of lightly toasted white bread. The bitterness is apparent - yet it in no way overpowers the initial fruity flavors. Clean finish of bittersweet floral flavors that complement the beers fruitiness, almost pilsner/noble hop like.

Feel: Light and crisp. Mild carbonation. Easy drinking.

Overall: I'm pleasantly surprised by this. I thought this would be an in your face one dimensional hop bomb but it's actually fairly intricate and delicate.

Appearance is a hazy yellowish-orange with a firm 1 inch head. Aroma is of grapefruit, orange, pineapple, and peach. Taste clean and juicy. Some candy malts. Flavors gush. Light bitterness. Creamy mouthfeel with a clean quick finish. This has a much different flavor profile from the traditional Lagunita's IPA as the piney bitterness is not really there and there is little to no astringency. I did find this really palatable.

102 days old.
Light smell of citrus
Hazy golden color, slight orange tinge
Medium mouthfeel
Medium carbonation
Taste of lemons, grapefruit, kind of like drinking juice
Overall it is an ok beer. Flavors are weak like a watered down beer with some juice added. Probably would not buy again.

19oz can, $2.49
OG=1.054, 6% ABV, 25 IBU
Hopped with Sabro, Citra, Cashmere and Comet

Pours to a hazy pale golden, quite light, forming a nice white head with excellent retention and solid lacing. Moderate carbonation, ~2.5. Nose of mango, pineapple, peach, a bit of pine and a little catty. Mouthfeel is smooth and medium-light bodied but the manageable ABV, low IBU and the fact that it's not too prickly from all the hops makes this an exceptionally easy IPA to drink. A little green/vegetal, but there is enough lingering residual sweetness to make this well balanced. The finish is quite a bit cleaner than most hazy IPAs.

I dig this and would buy it again. A crushable spring/summer IPA. Recommended.

12 oz can with no clear date stamp. $1.89 from the Wall of Beer in Clemson SC.
Look. Hazy straw colored body with a good, relatively dense white head.
Fruity aroma and flavor with mild bitterness and a tame flavor for the style.
The body is amply (medium) carbonated but a bit too thin.

Poured from a 12oz can into a stem glass.
Nice 2-finger head poured easily into the glass. Strong lacing left on the glass.
Color is a nice golden yellow with lots of haze.
Aroma is full-bodied, citrusy, piney, and oh so inviting.
Tastes like grapefruit with some piney notes in the background.
Mouthfeel is bright and crisp up front, with smooth finish.
Overall, this is a really nice beer with a manageable ABV of 6%. I appreciate the reserved hoppiness for an IPA- they don't all have to burn your tongue off with loads of hops making you have to recover from that to figure out what else is going on with the beer. I got this beer in a mixed 6-pack for xmas and will look for it again after tasting it for the first time.

My local packy was out of my usual Lil Sumpin, Sumpin so I gave this a try and was pleasantly surprised.
A citricy taste that I assume would be more prevalent the fresher it is.
the mouthfeel was light, similar to lil Sumpin, Sumpin.
I don't know why but I feel like I'm drinking a healthy and more natural product when it is unfiltered.
You can't go wrong trying this beer or anything else from Lagunitas.

12oz can poured into Duvel tulip. Picked up from grocery store as part of a $10 sixer mixer. 12097 printed on bottom of can along with other numbers, but no discernable date.

Appearance - Pours large 2-finger fluffy soapy white head with decent retention, patchy but decent lacing and stick. Body yellow and hazy to the point of near opacity. 4.5

Smell - Soft faintly grassy hop rounded out with slight citrus sweetness. 4.5

Taste - Grassy hop is a bit more potent than the smell lets on, but is similarly soft and rounded. No off flavors. 4.25

Mouthfeel - Finishes fairly watery. I suppose it would be a fairly refreshing beer in the warmer weather, but in the colder months it comes across as a little too watery in the finish. But still enjoyable. 4.25

Drinkability - Seems like it would be a great session beer, especially in the warmer months. Should be a seasonal. 4.25
