This beer just did not appeal to my tastes. I typically like very hoppy beer, but this beer was just a mixed up mess of hops, tastes, bitterness and flavors. Compared to other high quality pale ales and IPA this is just average at best. I think they tried hard but failed.

Notes from 7/16/14 - Consumed from a tulip

A: 1/4 inch white, frothy head. Body is a nice golden, honey color.

S: Light citrus hops. Peach/pear fruitiness. Maybe a little sweet melon.

T: Peach and pear upfront followed by a well-balanced citrus hop bitterness and malty smoothness. Clean finish.

M: Rich but not sticky. Carbonation leaves a slight and refreshing tingle which accompanies the fruit well.

O: Refreshing and tasty brew. For $9 a sixer, it's worth buying any day. Great alternative to typical west coast IPA.

Bottle poured into pilsner glass

Clear, golden yellow with a steady stream of bubbles leading to a one finger white foam head. Settles into a solid layer of big, bouncy bubbles and some nice lacings.

Aroma of grapefruit , floral and pine.

Hop taste on the front of the tongue. Hops with pine with a hint of citrus. Bitter aftertaste, sharpness gradually fades.

Smooth, not too carbonated. Light to light medium mouthfeel.

Good beer, worthy if repeating.
