poured 12oz bottle into snifter. Bottled August 3. Reviewed August 22.

A - Sun kissed orange with a cloudy appearance. Billowy 2.5 finger white head that fades and leaves a fat collar and thick swaths of lacing behind.

S - Delicate tropical and citrus notes from the Amarillo hops. Orange, ripe pineapple, and mango. Some sweet honeysuckle and wheat Ritz cracker complete the aroma.

T - Starts with the tropical and citrus of ripe pineapple, mango, and orange. The sweetness follows with honey, bread, and some wheat Ritz cracker. A bit of pine and citrus bitterness on the finish.

M - Rich and well carbonated with a medium light body. Fluid and well carbonated, high acidity despite high bitterness. Very compelling for another sip.

O - Amarillo hops added to a Wheat Ale = delicious and a great beer for anytime of the year. One of my favorite Lagunitas offerings.

A: All but the gentlest of pours produces a massive multi-fingered ivory-colored head with outstanding retention; intimidating, even. Body's color is a very slightly cloudy gold, with a few streams of carbonation. Insane lacing on my glass, looks like sea foam, very amusing.

S: Citrus and pine through and through, courtesy of the hops. Good complexity, but nothing that I can't get from other brews. OK, that may be overly harsh, it's just doing so well that I felt like knocking it down a peg.

T: Equal mix of minty pine and citrus fruit, plus a good touch of spice. Well balanced hops varieties. Pleasing amount of bitterness, not too much, but enough to scare away lagerheads.

M: Fluid and well carbonated, high acidity despite high bitterness. Very compelling for another sip.

O: Uniquely foamy, extremely entertaining for an AIPA (yes, I deviate from beeradvocate's classification, as the packaging suggested many do). Great hop complexity, yet I feel that most other brews in this category that I've sampled can provide the same profundity. Maybe my hops palate hasn't been properly developed (quite possible), maybe I've only been sampling the finest of AIPA's (possible), but it didn't live up to its casing's hopefulness of tasting 'everything anew'. Still a great beer!

12 oz. Brown Bottle. Has Freshness Date.

A: Pours a clear pa;e amber. Large white head with good retention and great sticky lacing.

S: Sweet malts and some floral hops. The sweetness really stands out in the aroma.

T/M: Smooth. Fruity with floral hops, nothing too bitter. Yeast and grains are nice and blend
well into the beer. A wheat kick throughout the beer brings an interesting and flavorful
addition. Slight warming of alcohol. The finish is hoppy and dry.

O: An excellent hoppy wheat ale. Easy to drink. Well balanced. Perfect ingredients. One of
better beers from Lagunitas.
