Found this on tap at the Binny's tasting room at the downtown store. Pours a pale golden, with not much of a head, but leaves a decent amount of lacing nonetheless. Decent aroma, with hops right at the forefront. The hops really come through on the taste, which otherwise is pretty restrained. Decent mouthfeel, though the carbonation feels like it might have better if it were amped up a bit. Overall, while not outstanding, this is a pleasant, drinkable beer,

This is a really solid black ipa clocking at 6.2%.

Hops are on the floral and citrus end. Classic American flavor. Hell even without the moderate roast it's be a great ipa. Hop flavor has good presence and staying power - not thin or all in the nose.

The body isn't thick, but it's not meant to be. It's a drinking beer. Think a sessionable self righteous.

listed as a "golden ale" and brewed for the craft brewers conference or somesuch going on this month, with input from local industry-related people.
pours a clear light amber/copper. brassy. white head diminishes to a nice ring of lacing. aroma is a bit muted, although being served in a frozen mug (at the front street cantina in naperville, they always do this)did not help. at the end of the glass, after the freezing subsided in killing the nose, i got some light caramel and earthy hops. taste is very lightly sweet biscuity carmelly malts balanced and cleaned out by a nice smooth hop bitterness. finishes clean and crisp. light bodied, frothy, and very drinkable-enough going on but easy to drink and approachable.

on tap at the grumpy bulldog. served in a pint glass.

A- this one is brought to me a in a pint glass with a body a little darker than golden. a finger of bright white head on top. solid rings of lacing left behind.

S- light caramel malts with a decent amount of flowery and piny hops. very mild.

T- the taste is hiding alot more flavor than the nose let on. biscuit-like and caramel malts up front. nice flowery and piny hop bite at the end. well balanced.

M- light, crisp, clean, and refreshing. a little too highly carbonated if anything.

D- this would be a great summer lawnmower beer if bottled. sessionable and light with alot of flavor.

Dark gold in color with a thin almost white head. Brilliantly clear. Tastes great with the eye.

Nose - grapefruit is prominent with a healthy dose of Jucyfruit/strawberry underneath (not in a bad way).

The taste has a white-bread-like sweet malt up front with a little bit of caramel. This is followed by a floral hop flavor with substantial - but not long-lasting bitter bite. Pretty dry finish too.

The mouthfeel is medium with medium carbonation.

This is a very drinkable, interseting beer. BA has it under blonde ale which sounds like a good fit.

Limited Release, on-tap, Blonde.

A: Pours light gold with a nice thin white foamed head.

S: Nose is sweet citrus, hops, and grapefruit. Some pine/earth.

T: Similar to some IPAs with its up front hop bite and citrus aftertones. Very interesting tastes with a bready aftertaste.

M: Nice and crisp. Carbonation was perfect for this blonde.

D: Very drinkable beer. Nice for a warmer spring or summer day when you want more than a wheat.

A - Beautiful blonde color with a finger and a half of excellent head that stuck till the bottom of the glass. I can't say enough about the color.

S - Slight hoppiness along with a sweet light malt aroma.

T - This is by far the best blonde ale I have had. There is a light but complex flavor that has bitter hops, sour notes and sweet malt.

M/D - Mouthfeel is pleasant, high carbonation and dances off the tongue. If this was a regular I would drink it all summer

I was excited to try this, as its an honer to have a brew made for your city from a brewery in another state. I was expecting a pale ale, but after drinking it and reading more about it it really isn't that robust of a ale, its much lighter both in color and flavor, which kinda dissaponted me, however it is a pretty solid Golden Ale, and really easy to drink. It had light flowery esters, biscuty smoothness, and a clean carbination and hop finish.
