Served on draft into imperial pint at Whole Foods. Was surprised to see it available. I am a confessed IPA fiend and Lagunitas is a very hop friendly brewery that rarely disappoints.

Love the copper color and eggshell head. Nice lacing.

Nice warm IPA smell some citrus zest, not overly fragrant however.

Tastes like an IPA should. Hops hit hard with the citrus and the fresh grass and stick to the tongue momentarily before givig way to a smooth finish.

Mouthfeel is crisp as an IPA should be, every taste cleanses.

Solid beer I could turn into and IPA session.

A - Served a clear copper-orange color with a thick layer of frothy white head atop. The head faded down fairly slowly leaving behind some nice lacing.

S - Aroma has some nice strong citrus hops with some grassy/piney hops mixed in as well. There is also a bit of lightly roasted caramel malt in the background.

T - Starts off with a nice kick of citrus hops with some good orange flavor and some bitterness. There is a bit of sweet toasted caramel malts as well. Through the middle, more bitterness and some pine/grassy hops come through. A bit more malt as well. The finish is a nice mix of hops and bitterness, with some sweet malts as well.

M - Medium-plus bodied with moderate carbonation. It is very smooth with a dry and resiny crisp mouthfeel.

D - Very drinkable. A little big for an IPA, but not quite a DIPA. Nice citrus hop profile all the way through.

Had a pint of this at Mill Valley Beerworks. Great place.

A - Very pleasant copper color, very impressive head retention. Kept a thin layer of foam through the ENTIRE time. Thick and creamy lacing left an imprint of off-white bubbles at every gulp. Nice.

S - great hop aroma that was consistent throughout. Pretty impressive how the smell of the hops pervaded with every sip.

T - great hop forward taste. Classic American hops. I experienced this beer as a more refined Hop Stoopid, and without the dried apricot presence.

M - smooth and creamy.

O - I have to say I really enjoyed this. Try it if you can!

Had on-tap at Rattle N Hum Earlier tonight in NYC.
Reviewed from notes.

This beer pours a nice copper color. There is a finger of creamy off-white head resting on top. The head has good retention, and there is a sheet of sticky lace left behind on the glass. The nose has a nice piney hop aroma. There are also some smells of tropical fruit and some caramel malt. The taste starts off with a bit of sweet maltiness and nice piney hop bitterness. There are some fruit flavors present as well. The malty backbone gives this some nice balance, but it is still definitely a hop forward beer. The finish leaves a bit of lingering hop bitterness on the palate. It has a medium body and good carbonation. It goes down easy, and it has a bit of an oily feel to it. There is some hop bitterness that lingers on the palate for a minute. The drinkability is good here. It goes down easy and the flavor is quite nice. I think it could use a little bit more hop flavor. Overall, I enjoyed this one and I definitely think it is worth trying out.
