Brewer says made with 43 different hops and 65 different malts. Obviously, I can't check the truth of that claim but this beer definitely has a unique and delightful taste.

Okay, forget the 43 different hops and 65 different malts which I assume the person in charge of their website considered witty. Anyway, I found a video supposedly of their Brewmaster, Jeremy Marshall, in which it says that the beer is made with 2-row, English Crystal and Caramel Malts, then hopped with CTZ, Willamette and Cascade hops.

At least the taste of the brew is honest. It is simply great!

Not what I'm looking for in an IPA. Disappointing

Pretty disappointing IPA really, everything is just slightly sub par which in my experience makes the whole thing just average or maybe a little less. Won’t be giving this one a second chance. Also not a bit fan of the extremely bitter aftertaste.

Basic IPA, this did not completely knock my socks off. It reminds me of a milder version of Solid Gold by Founders, for an IPA this is another great introduction to the style that will not blow you away. It stays in its lane and I respect it enough for a good rating.

It pleases me that Lagunitas IPA has appeared at so many restaurants and bars in the area - alongside Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Lagunitas IPA is one of my constant go-to beers. I can drink a lot of it, and I never regret ordering it.

It's sweet, has a great hop balance of bitterness, pine, and citrus, and finishes nice and clean. Given a lack of local options, I'll choose this one nearly every time.

Look: Straw colour, just a tad darker than your average lager, thin head. Not remarkable and I mean this in the good sense.
Smell: Resinous hops, some fruity notes as well. Not much malt.
Taste: hop punch, essentially resinous but with some citric notes (grapefruit, I'd say). Malt is on the faint side. I wonder why they added wheat when it doesn't really add up to the taste. Aftertaste is basically grapefruit. Still, good.
Feel: medium to light bodied, relatively high carbonation, dry finish. Very good.
Overall: Good but not great.

L - Mid clear amber pours with 5mm white head that's slowly reduces to lacing.
S - Subtle hints of perfumed conifer.
T - What you expect of an IPA but balanced by it's richness. It's certainly way away from trying to be a 'fashionable hop-bomb'.
F - The richness of the 6.2% comes through loud and clear for me.
O -It's well balanced to me. Nothing stands out screaming out of place. And maybe that makes it a 'VGood' beer. It all comes together in that way. I like it, and would buy it again.
Bought from a London supermarket, likely M+S Tesco or Waitrose.

Hazy copper with a nice steady head of foam with pretty lacing. Nice smell of light fruits, flowers, pine and malt. Taste follows the nose, although the malt is more prominent here. Taste could have been more intense in my opinion. Medium bodied and quite sparkly. Good IPA, but not one that manages to stand out of the crowd. Reliable choice though.
