A group of us just got back from San Francisco. We hit Muir Woods in the early afternoon and then drove a short while to Petaluma for a visit to the brewery.
Tucked away in an industrial area, but plenty of parking late afternoon. It was a bit chilly, but the outdoor area had a few of those nice heat lamps around the wooden seating benches...we almost got too warm sitting under them.
We ordered their big beer sampler (I think it was 24 four ounce samplers of all the goods...simply divine. I love just about everything from these guys...to get it fresh from the source was just awesome. Wait staff was friendly and fast.
We took a late afternoon tour as well. A lot of fun. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and quite funny. It was great walking through the brewery and hearing about the upcoming Chicago location. Even my wife, the non-drinker, had a good time.
I'd certainly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. Tasting some fresh Sucks from the source may have spoiled me a bit.

Man this place is just a good damn time with some really great vibes and excellent beers. Stopped in on a Saturday and grabbed a pint of the Beast of Both Worlds DIPA and the wife got the Team Pils. Sat outside on an absolutely beautiful clear sunny day with a breeze on our faces listening to the live music out in the pavilion soaking up what's great about California!
I sometimes find myself wishing they had more porters and stouts but I really appreciate that they do hops well and just stay in their lane focusing on doing it right time and time again. You're silly if you're in the general vicinity and don't stop in here. Smack yourself and then put Lagunitas on the travel itinerary if you got some brains about ya

Visited the Charleston, SC location with my parents in tow. Such a cool building with glass elevator to 2nd floor. Very fun vibe, delicious beers of course. Service was good and food was decent. Glad I was able to check this place out.

what can you say about this place, one of the great california breweries and an absolute must hit destination for any beer lover anywhere near this part of the world. right off the highway and easy to get to, huge fermentation tanks visible from miles away, they kind of have a whole little campus here now, an office building or two, a couple of production areas, a central taproom area in the middle of it with a ton of outside space that is covered, courtyard vibes out here, a small stage in the corner that has music all the time, its like candyland for adults. couple of things make this place really special in addition to the people and the beer, one of them is the amphitheater in the middle of the place where they have free concerts, or did before covid, all summer long, grassy and chill as can be, seen some good ones here. the other thing that makes this original is the loft area where they have it set up like an old living room, long bar, tons of cool old beer stuff, a view down to the brewery, they use this area to host vip types and swing tours through, really amazing space up here above the main hangout area. the inside space is pretty small. they give some of the best tours in the game at lagunitas. the inside area is pretty modest, a three sided bar with a lot more beers on tap than ever make it out into the wild it seems, more experimentation always happening here than they get credit for, some wild things have come out of here over the years. all the classics always on too, now some other non alcoholic stuff, hard tea, they are really branching out. funky decor everywhere, sort of a hybrid vibe between a hippie hangout and a circus feel, real neat energy all over the place, and everyone who works here is incredible from the store folks to the bartenders and all. they have better than average eats here, beers that are famous for a reason, and one of the more unique brewery experiences in the game. not a lot of heineken influence evident either, if the haters are curious. i hope this place can keep what has made it special all this time, there never has been and never will be another!

This place has exploded. Very quickly the great quality and value of the Lagunitas offerings has spread across the territory, and the last two times we have tried to visit the place has simply been overwhelmed by locals and beer aficionados! College atmosphere when we've been here. That is sometimes a good thing. They have great beer. But not too many specials. Picnic table seating, outdoors under plastic awnings. Good luck finding parking or seating on most days surrounding the weekends. It is a popular local drinking hole, and they need to expand this cute little garden / indoor setting in to a fabulous destination location which it deserves. Decent brewery food. But Great beer. This place makes some of my favorite beers (for the price especially). But lower ratings from me until they do so. Build it, and they will come.

Huge outdoor and indoor serving area, very busy on a Sunday, crowded with dogs and families, very informal atmosphere, which is nice. Good Lagunitas beers, which is why you are there in the first place. The turkey wings (or whatever it was) were literally dripping with barbecue sauce, and were not to my liking, but they may have better food.

Love visiting this brewery. Its not far from home and a really fun place to have some beers with friends and family. They make some of my favorite hoppy beers as well, so thats a plus.

Definitely worth a visit. Nice little beer garden / pub tucked away on the brewery grounds. Tours an option. All of their flagships, plus some specials. I was lucky enough to get some collaboration brews with Moonlight for the Sonoma fire victims and with Anchor for SF Beer Week. Nice little menu, and one of the best turkey clubs I've had in quite some time. Laid back and friendly, not corporate at all. Pints, 10oz pours and 5 oz flights provide some nice options.
