We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon around 1:00. It was a block away from our Hotel in an industrial district. So I was thinking a warehouse tasting room atmosphere. I was way wrong. They own several large buildings in this complex. But plenty of signs to let u know where to go. (Golden Arches) Hint. You first walk through an wooden fence opening into an outside beer garden with as stage in the corner. service is available , but we chose to go into the bar area. seems like it can hold around 30 people or so inside. Tap list was pretty cool. They actually seperate the beers by the ABV rating. Which they had plenty of the big boys this day. Wife started with a LITTLE SUMPIN and I went for the IMP Stout. Both were tasty!

One thing I really thought was pretty cool . Was there 32oz Mason jar (Growler) and packeged in a brown paper bag. Hold the bottom because that bag wiil break!!

Fun place !! nice locals!! cool atmoshere!! just ok service.
will go back

A hard winter we have had. The cold, the rain, the desolate grey makes us desire the warmer climes. A Van is procured, a destination laid out. We drive.

Pretty Petaluma, a town of sexy humans ready to be dragonWhaled. The sun is out, bluegrass playing on the stage, a oak aged Ruben and the Jets in my glass. The waitress, oh the wonderful waitress brings me water in a mason jar and takes my heart. Three weeks of brewpubs and this is where my dream lives.

We did not eat, but the food looked good. The locals were kind, inquisitive, down to earth California folk. I will be back, i will join the locals in the revelry of life that Lagunitas! From one Lagunaut to another, make the journey on a sunny day in early spring and listen to music made for watching to girls go by.

Visited back in October 2009. I totally dig this place! Wondering in from the office park parking into the "beer sanctuary" you realize that you have found a gem in the rough. Perfect! The outdoor beer garden area is filled with picnic tables and looks like a super fun place to hang out... it was a bit early in the day and the sun was on the bright side so most people were inside. The interior had a great feel as well, not too polished and not self-consious in any way. We sat at the big central bar ringed with stools and enjoyed a sampler and a couple pints. The service was good, very friendly. A large selection of Lagunitas's range was on tap along with some special offerings on cask. Overall this place is just what I think a brewery bar should be like... I wish I lived closer!

Having been told that this is the most fun one can have at a brewery I was super excited to go! My wife and I get there and find out that the tour has already started, which I was mildly upset about...but what are you going to do? We were ushered up a metal set of stairs in a neighboring building. As we approach the top we come to a clubhouse that seems like a teenagers paradise. Posters on the wall, strange odds and ends strewn about. There are filthy couches and a bar! This looks like it's right out of That 70's Show! If I ever open a brewery, I'm keeping this place in mind! So awesome! Yeah, I can see how someone might not like it, but this isn't exactly high end beer we're talking about!

They proceed to give us tasters BEFORE the tour!!! Why don't all breweries do this?? We sample all of their usual's and have idle chit chat with some of the locals. Cool people and some of them are quite knowledgeable about their beer! The tour guide really didn't know what she was talking about, but she was really nice and that goes a really long way with me.

The tour itself was really lackluster, but I got to talk to their headbrewer about their use of hop pellets vs cones, which was very interesting. They were in the process of moving a lot of their equipment around, and their usual tour guide was on vacation which explains the apparent lack of knowledge on our guides part.

Without a doubt, this is the most fun I've ever had at a brewery and I will most certainly come back if I'm ever in the area.

If you don't mind the decidedly unfinished appearance of the Lagunitas taproom and beer garden, this is a great place to try all your favorite Lagunitas beers on tap. It occupies bit of indoor and outdoor space next to the brewery itself, which is located in an office park on a Petaluma main street.

They had 12 taps there, about 2 or 3 of which had cask-conditioned ales (thought not with handpumps), and it looked like they had the equipment to do nitrogenated pours as well, though I didn't see them in operation during the hour and a half or so I was there. Pours went for $4 each, 16 oz of the beers with less than 8% ABV, 12 oz for 8% and above. 12 and 22 oz bottles are also available. Food was pretty limited. They had a tri-tip sandwich, some sort of veggie dish that I can't recall, and peanuts and pretzels.

Seems like it's starting to get known, too. While there were less than a dozen people when I showed up at about four pm, it was starting to get pretty busy by 5:30 when I left. I don't know if they aren't really finished yet, or if they were going for the low-rent look they have as a contrast to a supposed pretentiousness in the NorCal beer scene, but they aren't serving High Life and Bud Light here. I really think that if they spiffed the place up a bit, it could become another destination brewpub along the 101 corridor like Russian River or Bear Republic.

Interesting business park location, drove past it the first time and had to do a Uturn. Parking is behind an adjacent building. Cool outdoor space, open pavement and landscaping with a couple big tables under structures and a half dozen small umbrella'd tables. Think there was tables inside too, but that's the last place I would rather be on the gorgeous day we visited. They had literally just opened the week before, and while they had a full and respectable beer lineup, food was still in the works. They basically had peanuts, wasabi nuts, and pre-made pulled pork wraps (made locally, very good). Service was spot on. The gal kept the plastic pints flowing.

The day we visited there was also a good jazz band there. So atmosphere was definitely up there. They made great things with this unwieldy space betwixt their production brewery and offices. Good vibe, service, and beer. This place will get only better when the start rolling out a more robust food menu.

Located in Petaluma, this new beer garden/beer bar opened in the Lagunitas complex. Walking in on a Saturday there was a live band playing laid back tunes. The beer bar is located adjacent to the brewery's offices. On tap they had about 8 beers, including the Pils, Hop Stupid, IPA, Correction Ale, and a beer bar only Bourbon Barrel aged Cappuccino Stout which was fantastic. They also had a number of bombers available including a number of Zappa tribute beers. Limited seating is available inside-we chose to sit in the spacious beer garden. They had light snacks and later brought in some grilled hot dogs, etc. Prices were reasonable and service was fantastic. Spoke to one of the co-owners and he allowed my wife and me to rummage through boxes, upon boxes, of old labels and take what we wanted! Nice... only wish I lived nearer.
