Walking down Gamla Stand and recognized the name of this place from reviews and took a seat outside. I didn't venture inside but outside is very nice. Right on the corner of a busy Gamla Stan intersection so that is plenty to look at and see in this very old part of town. The beer list was pretty decent, probably about 40ish beers from various countries. Mostly lots of staples but still a very well rounded selection. Decent quality. The service was fine, offered helped right away after sitting down and quick to bring us our drinks.

If you just good beer no need to come here, however, if you are in Gamla Stan or just want to have a beer outside in a nice area, this is a decent choice as some of the other beer bars are not in the most scenic areas.

Ouch. It's never good to get the "F U" eyes from the server from the start. I walked up to the bar because I thought it was a self service thing. But I didn't realize that there was table service in the back, which I would have liked. I was not informed of this. I guess I would have liked a bit more direction and help and guidance. But this girl would have rather stuck my ass in a trash can instead of helping me out, I think. The whole experience was like pulling teeth. But guess what!? It's gets even better! Oh yes! My pain is your gain people.

Bland atmosphere. Seems uninspired and tepid. Selection of beers was okay. But I don't think I saw anywhere near 105 bottles. Food was wretched. I ordered a lamb entrée and it was so salty that my mouth was still feeling it 30 minutes later. It was ridiculous. I've never had something so poorly done. The cook was either completely incompetent or they were purposefully messing with me. And judging from what happened starting at entry, it wouldn't be surprising if the latter were the case. Thank God I didn't order the steak tartar. I might have ended up in the hospital.

Overall. Writing this much about it is even a waste. If this is any indicator of the normal level of experience (I truly hope it isn't), there is no need to waste time and money when Glenfiddich is just around the corner. And Akkurat is not that far away either. My guess is that the owner of this place probably owns about a dozen spots and doesn't treat his employees very well, which reflects in their disinterested attitude. Regardless. This is the place to avoid, in my opinion.
