Draught at the brewpub on 20th Jan 2014, one of four beers (and a cider) on tap that day.

Cloudy orange body with a large white head that fell away swiftly.

Good aromas, the typical banana and vanilla smells I like to find in my Weizenbier. There were also yeast and cinnamon hints within the nose, very pleasant.

The taste was again those usual flavours a fine Weizen gives you: vanilla, banana and yeasty. This is a bit sweeter than most I've tried (I'm no expert on the style) and that suited my taste buds nicely.

Body was full and well carbonated, in fact the beer was just about right in every way.

Cloudy golden amber colour with a fluffy white head. Fair head retention.

Tons of clove and citrus. Little bits of a vanilla. Not much banana. Interesting.

Big fruitiness and spiciness. Lacking a little wheat character and banana. Still, the massive flavour is great.

Medium body with moderate-high carbonation.

A tasty beer. Great yeast character. Could be a little cleaner on the finish but still yummy.

Hazy amber orange colour, with trim white foam, very thin and compact: good appearance.
At the smell you can find both the banana ester, both the phenol and the yeasts. Although the phenolic dominates, the whole is well balanced and leaves a fresh feeling very appealing.
To be a Weizen it appears rather malty, almost chewable flavoured (where there is a good phenolic and a slight banana). This fullness (not boring, it is clear) is also very present in the aftertaste, where, after a first wave of malt and phenol, it also sees a bit of citric that pleasantly surprise the palate. A corollary to point out a pleasant carbonation that makes this Weizen unusual but definitely enjoyable.
