I've been stopping here for liquor for about a year and a half and check their beer section once in a while while I'm there. They definitely try to cater to the wine drinking crowd but lately their beer selection has really grown. They've always had the good standbys and a pretty decent craft beer selection. In the last year they've stepped it up with some harder to find gems and they even put in a growler filling station in August. They're not quite as big as some of the other competition in Toledo but I think they've definitely made progress to hold their own against the big guys. I've always been treated well here and have never been misled by the employees recommendations for beer and liquor. Their prices on everything are reasonable and I can't say I've seen anything overpriced.

I was quoted a price for a large beer order by Andy for my wedding. The order was submitted over a month before the pickup date. I received a phone call roughly two weeks before the wedding saying the order was ready. When I went to pick it up a third of it wasn't there. Now it's a little over a week from the wedding and I have not been given a straight answer as to if the missing third will arrive before my wedding. Oh, and the actual price was $300 more than what Andy quoted me. Just fantastic communication. I have also found bottles of Head Hunter over a year old still on the shelves. I will never purchase anything from Corks again.

This place has been around for nearly two years now, and remains quite hidden, tucked behind a string of grocery and department stores (Target, Giant Eagle, etc.). The obvious focus is on wine and liquor, but the craft beer selection has definitely been on the rise in the past year or so. Here you can find American staples such as Stone, Rogue, Dogfish Head, and Bells; Imports like Ayinger, Rochefort, and Weihenstephaner; plus new and exciting (for Ohio) brews such as Smuttynose and 21st Amendment. There are beer and wine tastings held every Thursday and Friday from 6-9.

I don't really get out to Rossford, and I have no real reason to go there, but it's not far from Toledo and this place is worth checking out. It's a nice place considering all the crappy little carryouts the Toledo area has along with the few places it's actually worth going to for beer. There's a lot of dedication to wine and the wine selection, which is impressive. Like most of these types of places, the emphasis is on the wine and "finer" liquors, but of course their stock of beer is all craft. It's a respectably-sized section for the beer, a few rows, and it's all well categorized and easy to find. The staff is friendly and helpful and really enjoys talking about their stock. While there's plenty to choose from, it's not quite as much as you'd find at The Andersons or Marino's. Prices are reasonable, pretty middle of the road as cost goes. It's definitely a place to check out if you're in the area and probably the best around for until you reach Toledo.
