Casual Atmosphere with very friendly service. The food here was very good. Recommend the reindeer pizza. Beer selection was modest 7-8 rotating taps, with enough local interest and new tries to keep me satisfied. The vibe was good here. Nice open area, friendly service and always willing to tend to. Of course I came and visited during the great covid 19 pandemic summer of 2020, so crowds were scarce.

The beer was reasonable price per area, about 6-7$. A very good selection of styles, none to heavy handed towards one in particular. Fruity wheat, porter, dark malt along with crisp hoppy offerings are enough to find something you will like. The quality of the beer as well the food was very good. I experience the Coco Jones by Raven and Hop valley bubble stash here. As a tourist I was always looking for Alaskan beers I couldn’t get back home so I never had any problem with the selection, always something to try.

Again very good food, a modest selection of beers by style, and casual dining at a reasonable cost. I paired the reindeer pizza and the Coco Jones Coconut porter which went very well together. There is a separate bar upfront of the dining area seats 9-10. Worth the visit for the food, and with a rotating local tap you are sure to get something different at every visit.

Not exactly a beer destination in Anchorage, but a place that respects and appreciates craft beer and has a pretty good menu to pair that beer with. Not many places can tout a "bacon of the month" or tater tots on their menu ;-) Tots rock with any local IPA that you might find on tap!

Speaking of taps, they have 8 of them that rotate through seasonal and regular local brews. For instance (and I'm sure this menu has changed already):

Sleeping Lady Brewing Braveheart Scottish 4.75 pint/18.00 pitcher
Kenai Brewing Breakfast Beer Milk Stout 4.75/18.00
Kassik's Kenai Brew Stop Moose Point Porter 4.75/18.00
Alaskan Amber 4.75/18.00
Moose's Tooth Fairweather IPA 4.75/18.00
Moose's Tooth Spenard Nite Life 3.75/14.00
Denali Brewing Hibernale 4.75/18.00
Midnight Sun Kolsch 4.75/18.00

The bottle menu is larger and includes more than local brews:
21st Amendment Monk's Blood
North Coast Brewing Blue Star Wheat & Scrimshaw Pilsner
Pilsner Urquell
Unibroue Trois Pistoles
Alaskan White
Anchor Porter
Anchor Steam
Dogfish Head Raison D'Etre Mahogany Ale
Chimay Grand Reserve
Lindemann's Lambic Framboise
Oskar Blues Old Chub Scottish
Oskar Blues Dale's Pale Ale
Oskar Blues Ten Fidy Imperial Stout
Big Sky Moose's Drool Brown Ale
Big Sky Trout Slayer Ale
Pabst Blue Ribbon 24oz.
Deschuttes Brewing The Abyss 2009
Avery Brewing The Reverend Quadruple Belgian Ale
Green's Endeavor *Gluten Free
Green's Discovery Amber *Gluten Free
Midnight Sun Sockeye Red IPA
Midnight Sun Panty Peeler Belgian Style Triple
Southern Tier JahVa Coffee Imperial Stout
Alaskan Baltic Porter

Definitely a good selection of brews to pair with just about anything on their food menu, which is eclectic and interesting to say the least.

Service is friendly, sometimes a little slow, but they do get slammed there during the lunch and dinner hours. Plenty of parking (usually). There is a main dining area and a bar area. The bar area is small, but there is a long bar with chairs and a row of intimate tables for seating in this area. There is a summer patio where you can sit and enjoy while watching Northern Lights Blvd traffic.

The food is pretty good, the menu items are creative and their slogan that bacon makes everything better can be found throughout the menu. This month's bacon of the month is Toasted Wonder bread with bacon & mushroom duxelle and roasted tomato vinaigrette for $8.95. Last month's was a candied bacon served with a chocolate dipping sauce. Looking forward to whatever they do with bacon next month ;-)

They do participate in the craft brew community here on a regular basis and love to offer whatever they can that's local.

So if you find yourself in town looking for a good place to grab a bite and a decent brew, just find your way to this Midtown establishment, just a 5 minute drive from downtown.
