Had in a 5 oz snifter at the Revolution release.
L: Pitch black with a creamy head that (not surprisingly) reminds of a 5 oz pour of Guinness.
S: Strong vanilla.
T: Vanilla, then chocolate, but creamy the whole time. Barrel comes in toward the back end. I personally love the combination.
F: Rich from the sweetness, and anything but thin. I'd like to try a non-nitro version of this to compare, but the creaminess seems to be a bonus.
O: Great variant of this beer.

Draft at the Kedzie Tap Room, served in a snifter. Thanks to Thomas & Jenny for this one!
Quick review from notes. Black body, long lasting creamy mocha foam.

Noticeable vanilla and chocolate in the aroma, a little bit of sweetness. Taste is similarly big on chocolate and vanilla, the barrel character is relegated to the aftertaste, and the sweetness seems to hide the double digit ABV well.

Creamy smooth feel, rich and full bodied like a chocolate vanilla milkshake. Nitro doesn't always improve a beer, but in this case it really boosts the body and mouthfeel. Overall I was lucky to have been able to try this, it was only a 10 gallon batch and was the first keg to blow at the release party. This was probably my favorite of the 4 variants, though I didn't expect to like it going in. The "comfort beer" menu description is very apt.
