A crushable ale to celebrate the end of winter and rejoice the coming of warm weather! This American Wheat Ale is brewed with Apollo and Amarillo hops, with a dry-hop blend of Crystal, Amarillo, and Mosaic, resulting in a mellow bitterness and pronounced flowery and citrus aromas.

Flaked Oats with a malt blend of 2-row, Red Wheat, and Carapils, create a light golden color and a smooth silky mouthfeel in this brew.

Poured from a twelve ounce can, the body is a yellow-orange and it has a good fluffy white head. Very good lacing throughout. Nice looking beer.

Nose is a floral and tropical mix. Good citrus aroma.

Taste follows nose as the hoppiness is assertive. There is a bite, but not a strong bitterness. A bit of malt balances the bitterness and lets the hoppy flavor carry the beer.

Good mouthfeel and aggressive carbonation. Soft finish on this easy drinking ale.

12 oz can canned 4/12/23 into a Becher.
L: Pours radiant 99% clear yellow with large steady carbo bubbles, a 1/4" eggshell white cookie-like head that recedes to thick soapy edge foam, random sticky lacing.
S: Orange, grapefruit, melon, pineapple, light malts, lemon.
T: Bright citrus, melon, follows aroma, a hint of lemon bread, caramel malts late in the center. It is lightly pale and has a light citrusy linger.
F: Lightly brisk & snappy, juicy medium-light body with a gently drying fast finish.
O: A totally crushable beer. Bright and snappy, citrus fruited, fairly light bodied. Good price point and is kind of session-like. It is excellent in its style.

12oz can. Stamped on can bottom is 'FILLED APR/12/2023', which is very easy to read.
Partly cloudy clarity. Pale gold colored body. Pours with about a finger of off white head. Later a cap and high ring. Leaves behind some vertical stringing of lacing.
Aroma of bread dough malt, with some pale citrus.
Taste has a slight tang, with generic citrus flavors. Tastes as if some wheat malt is involved. Remnants of bread dough in the aftertaste.
Medium mouth feel. Presents a short duration bite mid way through the profile. Good carbonation.
Refreshing, with enough flavors to be pleasing.

M - Medium body with prickly carbonation and a dry finish.

O - This is a very enjoyable Pils. Recommended.

Canned 7/14/22; drank 7/21/22 @ the Yarchives.

See-through pale orange appearance.

A rough pour yielded a nice white head; minimal lace.

Grapefruit, wheat & mild grass notes in the nose.

Thin mouthfeel.

Grapefruit & dry wheat flavors up front; mild grassiness on the finish.

I get the name; this is more flavorful than most hot-weather beers, but is thin enough that it won't slow you down. Grapefruit is my least favorite citrus flavor, though, so this isn't one I'd seek out again. It's not awful, though.

Look and smell scores are N/A; no real notes on either. I've had Sun Crusher on several occasions but always from someone else's cooler. Had this at a Memorial Day pool party (from the can, hence the N/A scores) and really tried to pay attention. Date stamp showed this to be about 2 months old. My overall impression is that it's too hoppy to be refreshing, and the wheat aspect was pretty weak. Apples and oranges: I had a Blue Moon later in the weekend and though I have a pretty low opinion of BM, its wheat-iness was blows SC away.

12 oz can into a pint glass. Clear golden color with a large rocky white head that left rings of sticky lace as it receded. Smells of doughy malt and citrus, especially sweet orange and lemon. Taste mostly follows but with some piney hop bitterness to round things out a bit. Medium-light bodied, drinkable enough but the sourness keeps it from being a legit crusher. Good hot day beer nonetheless.

12 oz can, filled 5-21-2021, into Boiler snifter.

Chill hazed blonde with a finger of bone white head.

Smells like a dry hopped berliner weiss. Sour, semi-sweet, and some freezer burnt hops.

Flavor brings wheat malt, tangerine rind, lemon rind, hot tin, slight stale cannabis, and watered down sour grapefruit juice at the end.

Busy, rocky carbonation accompanies this thing, with a little alcohol heat and some dryness near the end.

Overall, probably the worst Revolution beer I've ever had by a mile. I can see this being refreshing on a hot day, but you'd have to be really desperate to reach for this instead of the plethora of today's other possible choices in that situation.

$1.66 @ Binny's
