Had a 5oz tap sample from Revolution in Chicago. Not as citrusy as I expected but definitely floral start with a drier, hoppier finish.

On tap at Rattle n Hum, NYC. Very pale gold hue with slight tight head that recedes to a vague lacing. Smells sweeter then the taste. Slight funk in the taste that pushes this to a slightly more hoppy side then I appreciate, but that's me. Perfect example of you have nothing positve to say, STFU, so I'll surrender the floor to someone with enthusiasum.

Two things about this beer. First, it is well known that Revolution's strategy is to hop-up their beers and, then, see which sells. Second, wheat is not the best grain to hop-up (barley is.) Wheat is soft and difficult to brew. So, why hop-up wheat?Sun Crusher provides an answer: hop-up wheat, and you lose its softness.
I won't have Sun Crusher again. But it it comes out again next spring, then the market proved me wrong.

Taste: Crisp, dry cracker wheat notes with citrus hops and orange peel. Same with the nose. Gold, slight haze, with a white head and some lace. Medium body. Balanced, and a good thirst quencher on a hot day. 25 IBUs.

Golden beer with slight orange hints. Very thin, white colored crown that dissipates quickly, only leaving an outer ring. Small sediment floating throughout.
The nose is a citrus bomb. Tangerine, mango, oranges & even pineapple all tangle together.
The wheat is prominent in the taste and comes through first. The citrus notes play the background and then quickly turn into a dry finish, leaving you wanting another drink.
Overall, it's a solid pale wheat. A little underwhelming although it's nice, light and refreshing but nothing groundbreaking.
