Chocolate grape juice. Solid 3 finger head with nice carbonation and a decadence fit for a king. Very full bodied without too much bitterness. Highly recommend.

Reviewing based on a 12-ounce can from this weekend's release event, enjoyed at home, rather than the draft pour yesterday when surrounded by sensory overload. Pours like Deth's Tar, with a slight purple tinge and a touch less head. Very appealing aroma of plum and chocolate, with more alcohol sting on the nose than expected for the ABV. Sweet on the palate, but not cloying; I would say it is similar in fruit intensity to Deth by Cherries was two years ago--prominent, but still primarily an accent to the base beer rather than overpowering it.

Canned 10/4/19; drank 10/20/19 @ the Yarchives.

Black appearance; purple at the edges.

A violent pour yielded a big tan head; nice, frothy lace.

Rich plum, mild oak & faint dark chocolate notes in the nose.

Creamy, thick mouthfeel.

Mildly sweet plum, milk chocolate, oak & faint bourbon heat flavors.

Fruity, rich and very drinkable.

Another nice fruit stout from Revolution!

Silky black with minimal highlights and a finger worth of light caramel colored crown to rest on top.

The nose brings tons of dark fruit mixing with a slight chocolate and ever so slight tobacco.

The taste brings huge dark fruit as well. Almost juicy plums.

Touch thin, but so well blended and balanced. No burn at all and scary smooth for 12%.

Overall, this is a great brew and blending.

One of the better 2017 variants besides Café Deth and Deth By Currants.
Jet black with a thin layer of tan foam and minimal spotty lace.
Fruity sweet plum juice aroma, distinct and well melded with the roastiness of the RIS.
Taste was sweeter with a fruity plum note that meshed well with the roast and chocolate notes.
Medium bodied with light carbonation, felt slightly thin but drinkable enough.

Had on tap. Love the deth by series, but wasn't sure how plums would jive compared to previous installments. I got my answer from the first sip: it might be the best yet. Breaking order, let's start with the taste, plum, bourbon, dark chocolate, brown sugar, vanilla, oak, and molasses, with supporting minor char, raisin, toffee, and earth. Incredible feat to be able to get the plum to be front and center and yet bring out so many other flavors. Smells like a plum bourbon cobbler with chocolate lingering, not as complex as the taste, but very pleasant. Feel has the standard BA stout booze, smoothness, viscosity, but also has some wood tannins and is generally rich. The wife loved it
