Style: English Pale Ale
Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.00%

Crisp golden ale with a delicate hop finish. This is our lightest ale and it is brewed with a bit wheat malt for body and Munich and Aromatic malts for and undertone of honey-like sweetness. Lightly dry-hopped with Cascade hops for that classic American golden ale aroma.

22 oz.
Pours a mostly clear medium gold, white sudsy lacing for a head.
Smells of grassy malts, light citrus, and mild piney hops.
Light grassy malt flavor over light citrus with some honey.
Full body with tingly carbonation on the roof of the mouth.
This is a really enjoyable and pleasant ale with a nice balance of flavor and a good aroma. Very easy to drink and definitely worth trying.

Pours bright golden with thousands of bubbles. Sort of looks like ginger ale in appearance. Frothy white head dissipates leaving a thin white film on the beer. Bubbles eventually settle down leaving a clear crisp appearance.
Smell is light and delicate. Floral hops, honey, some mild citrus. Malt notes also peak through. Very simple, but appropriate for the style.
Taste is a well balanced mix of malt and hop. Initially some pale malt flavors up front with a nice floral almost grassy hop bitterness coming through to the finish. Some slight sweetness reminiscent of honey. This is a classic english pale ale. Simple and balanced yet flavorful.
Feel is light, crisp and drinkable.
Overall a very nice example for the style. When fresh this is a great and drinkable beer.

Somehow I missed this one for seven years... and it was in my backyard.
I've been getting shy of Revolution because their use of hops, while not dominant, was becoming too predictable.
So, I catch this can. And this pale is done right. Pleasant, refreshing, just sweet enough and, at least for me, not too hoppy.
Cross of Gold hit the spot on a warm October late afternoon.
It is nice to think that a can of beer can put the world back in balance.

Pours clear, gold in color, with 1/4 inch head and high carbonation. Taste is wheat with light citrus hops and a touch of grapefruit. Super smooth beer that is very tasty. May be one of my favorite English pale ales. Certainly one of the better non-barrel aged beers I have had from Revolution. Perfect warm weather sipper.

The Cross of Gold was good...but I agree with others....this is more of a blonde ale than an English IPA...the Beer poured a hazy yellow with white head that left a spotty lace. The scent was sligth bitter hops with a subtle waith of citrus. The taste was a very good balanced beer that did not overwhelm....sligth citrus flare helped to give the beer character. The mouthfeel was medium to light in body with decent carbonation. Overall it was ok...probably would not go seekign it out....but glad I tried it.

12oz can poured into a pint glass boasts a bright golden bubbly body and floats little more than a cap of white head that disapates to nothing and leaves no lacing.
Aroma and flavors include a cracker malt, floral hops, and a little honey sweetness for good measure.
Mouthfeel is crisp and clean.
Overall, put it in your golf bag and enjoy.

On tap at the brewpub.
Pours a nice clear golden color with a small white head and some lacing.
Awesome citrus hop aroma, with honey and grainy pale malt. Smells phenomenal, way better than I expected from the description.
Flavor is great for the style. A little grainy with sweet pale malt and honey as well as bright citrusy hops. Reminds me of a golden ale version of FFF Alpha King even, which is about as high a compliment as I can give a beer like this.
Nice palate, fairly sweet and medium-light with a mild sweetness.
Overall, wow, what a great golden ale. This is typically a boring style in my opinion, but this one was very drinkable and enjoyable.
