Crisp golden ale with a delicate hop finish. This is our lightest ale and it is brewed with a bit wheat malt for body and Munich and Aromatic malts for and undertone of honey-like sweetness. Lightly dry-hopped with Cascade hops for that classic American golden ale aroma.

22 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 6/19/2013. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy bright golden color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with some moderate streaming carbonation. Aromas of big orange peel, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange rind, floral, grass, wheat, light honey, and floral earthiness. Very nice aromas with big citrus hop presence and moderate malt balance; with good strength. Taste of orange zest, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon zest, floral, grass, bread, wheat, light honey, and floral earthiness. Slight floral bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, floral, grass, bread, wheat, light honey, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity of citrus hop flavors with a moderate malt balance; with good flavor robustness and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice blond ale! All around good balance and complexity of hop and malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

12oz can into nonic

Rich gold with a full white head and good carb throughout. Malty and sweet, with a good hop balance that keeps it from being too sweet, but doesn't get bitter. Excellent beer for the style. You look above it in ranking and it's all flavored with adjuncts.

There could easily be an argument made that Cross of Gold is the standard bearer for American Blonde\Golden Ales.

12 oz can into a pint glass.

A: Clear golden color with a half-finger rocky white head that disappeared almost immediately. Good amount of bubbles streaming up from the bottom.

S: Sweet malt, honey, peaches, some corn adjunct.

T: Orange citrus comes through much more than it does in the nose. Other flavors listed are also present but none dominate. Very well balanced.

F: Medium-light bodied, very crisp and refreshing.

Enjoy on the beach.

Appearance: Pours a deep, clear golden color with a copper-orange tint. Ferociously bubbling with a good lacy head.
Aroma: Light aromas of orange, pineapple, citrus. This is followed by a honey, graham-cracker sweetness.
Flavor: Taste follows the nose with lemon and orange citrus upfront. Some honey, cracker, and American grains and corn in the middle. A little cauliflower. Mild to moderate bitterness... but finishes with a honey and slight sweet baked cherry & raisin on the finish due to Munich malts.
Feel: Medium bodied. Well-carbonated. Very drinkable and rounded. Finishes rather sweet as expected. Alcohol is non-detectable.

Overall: This is a great American Blonde ale. Light citrus notes, Great honey and grain malts. Nice German malt addition too. As I write this on BA it's listed as an English Pale Ale, which this is not. It should be updated. This is an American Blonde with some light Munich malt additions. Drinks very well.
