An American hop assault for all the ambivalent warriors who get the girl in the end. “Look, I ain't in this for your revolution, and I'm not in it for you, Princess.” This iconic ale features a blend of four hop varieties which creates a crisp bitterness and imparts massive floral and citrus aromas.

Brewed with 4 hop varieties per the website. Purchased a single can at Binnys.
6.5% ABV, 70 IBU.
Pours out to a lightly hazy sediment rich medium golden, forming a tall soapy white head with average retention and thin lacing. Carbonation is moderate, ~2.75 or so. The nose is fresh with piney hops. Thinking chinook and Columbus.Quite nice. Sitting on a nice malt backbone with some fruity yeast esters. Mouthfeel is lightly tart, finishing dry, with a medium body. The taste is quite piney as well, with hints of vanilla, apples and pears. Bitterness is medium firm, finishing dry with a lingering bitterness. No off flavors or aromas. Again, quite piney.
A nice piney IPA. A touch to bitter for my tastes but still quite nice.
Re-review 9/6/22-Not as bitter as I noted here. Still piney, but an underlying backbone of malty sweetness in the middle and aftertaste. No sediment in this 19.2oz can. Dark golden, lightly yellow head.

Dirty light gold in color; crystal clear big dense and fluffy, yet cohesive head that settles nice and slow.
Upon first whiff it’s a bright shot of pine laced with orange citrus; if you take the time to keep smelling the citrus becomes slightly more dominant, this is accompanied by a growing malty note, but remaining dominated by hops.
The taste is so pleasantly balanced; a true sum of it parts beer for me; abrasive yet restrained pine needle hits the tip of the tongue proceeding go coat it, slowly masked by orange peel, it’s got the orange character but with a bite, or maybe it’s just mixing with the pine quality…last to the fray is the malt that provides a nice canvas for those American hops to shine, lending just enough presence to give this a noticeable yet balanced malt quality.
Medium body; tongue pricking bitterness, pine through and through, very clean; highly drinkable IPA.

I really like this beer. Living in Chicago, this is really one of the better IPAs. This coming from a guy who has been known multiple times to drive out to Vermont to pick up cases of Heady and Focal. I’m also a big Surly fan. But in between beer runs, this is what I drink almost exclusively. Not a huge fan of hazy or “juicy” IPAs. Give it to me bitter baby!

When I come to CHI this is all I drink. I love it. Best IPA on tap in the city (and they seem to know this). Oh yeah, pours like beer and tastes like a bitter IPA.

Quite bitter. Complex hops flavor peeks through the intense lingering bitterness and shifts as you drink. Floral, and a subtle Werthers caramel/butterscotch flavor. Not much smell. I like all of these Hero beers. Is this my favorite Revolution beer? Yes, maybe. It's certainly up there.

Solid IPA. Crisp, and a short aftertaste of bitterness after the first several sip. Lingering and taste of bitterness pleasantly occupies the mouth when drinking till the half of the cup. When your taste buds get used to the bitterness, the complexity of floral , fruity and bitter flavor takes over.

On tap in Michigan.
Appearance. Clear golden body with a very tall off-white head.
This seemingly mild IPA, based on its sweet aroma, soon reveals a strong hoppy flavor with relatively high bitterness. Medium-full body with medium carbonation.
