Has a nice clear, copper color with a nice thick, white head.
Smells sweet, some citrus notes, very fruity. I picked up on some floral aroma as well.
Immediately taste some malty sweetness with a nice smooth finish. Little to no bitterness. Hint of citrus flavors in the aftertaste.
Very mild carbonation.
Very good IPA, I was very lucky to pick up a 6 pack.

Was honestly disappointed by this IPA. Very overrated as people in Chicago go NUTS over it. Very average IPA over-hyped by silly ChiTown beer drinkers.

Poured from a can into a tulip

A. Pours a nice transparent golden color with a milk colored 2 finger sudsy head that last at least 2 minutes. Spotty lacing

S. Some sweet bready malts and a pine hop aroma. Mango, strawberry.

T. Nice sweetness from the malts and a fuitiness from the hops. Some lingering bitterness. Grassy aftertaste. Very nicely balanced.

M. 5out of 10 on body. Nice mellow carbonation. Slightly dry aftertaste.

O. A really nice IPA. Very balanced. Quite sessionable. Delicious in the winter and proper for a summer BBQ. A goto for me.

12 oz can purchased at Binnys (mix 6) poured into 3 tasting glasses
A - rusty golden hue, 1 finger of fluffy white foam that shrunk down fairly quick
S - hoppy nose, that had a very pleasant sweetness to it - subtle vanilla and citrus to me
T - lemony citrus at first, followed by an expected hop bitterness. nice carbonation
M - dry finish, citrus lingers
O - not being a die hard IPA lover, this would be a "1 and done" for me. The sweetness is a good balance to the hop flavors

2/8 - Mo Dailey’s (Chicago) Draft - One of my favorite IPAs, and fortunate to live in Chicago where it is served in many bars. Mild hoppy taste, not very strong. I love the taste. The revolution will not be televised, but it will continue to be ordered by me at a bar near you.

Great full aroma IPA. The great can design sucked me in, the great hoppy taste will bring me back again. I'll be sure to sample another beer from these folks soon.

Poured into a Haw River Farmhouse Ales teku glass. Bottom of can says 01/13/15.

A- Pours a medium amber color with a 3/4 inch off-white head that retains well before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a half sheet of sheer surface foam. Cobwebs of semi-resilient lacing.

S- Moderate citrus notes remind me of peach, lemon and melon. Also a bit of pine.

T- More grassy than the aroma with a moderate bitterness. Definitely on the dryer side of things though the malt sweetness provides a good balance. Very easy to drink and flavorful 'til the end of the glass.

M- A bit sharp with medium carbonation and a body leaning toward the lighter side.

O- A solid IPA for sure but I don't see anything that makes it anymore special than an above average shelf IPA. Slightly undeserving of the hype surrounding it IMO.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Can dated Dec 15th 2014.

Deep crystal amber orange, quite clear with lots of fine carbonation. Head forms a little slowly but with off white color manages a good four finger tall and controlled size. Heavily soapy and bubbled in the make up, but with some good and decent staying power, and a little bit of clingy pill and bubbled lacing.

Mild hints of pine hop aromatics, a little fruit juiced, but very closed bouquet. Not much really going on down there, some slightly leafy character but feels and senses quite wet. Struggling to find something distinct or just obvious about this on the aroma but it's just not there.

Palate improves quite a bit. Very light and nearly wet body, but still manages some flavorful juice quality. Hints of leafy green and pine sensations, with a bit of mellow wood. Very nice tolerable honey like malt sweetness. Finishes very light and quick letting the flavors almost dissolve and disappear a bit too fast.

Overall fairly good, but sort of not really drawn to this personally which seems to not make me desire this much.

Thanks Kevin_Young for sending me this great beer.
Poured from can into 16 oz sam adams glass.
A cloudy gold color with lots of of egg shell white head.
Perhaps too much head as almost went over the top.
Some lacing but nothing to get excited about.
Great hop smell and very floral from the moment it left the can all the way up to the last sip.
Tasted crisp and very fresh, not as hoppy as I would have thought from the smell.
Great IPA that stands up with the best of them. I would drink this all day every day but sadly I only have 2 cans.

Poured from 12 oz can into tulip glass

A - A vibrant golden body and thick, foamy white head. Moderate lacing.

S - Tropical pineapple, fresh flowers, grapefruit rind, and lemon.

T - Pineapple and citrus hop flavors dominate from the get-go. Then, a rush of sugar cookie malt sweetness. The finish is mildly bitter with cloying sweetness lingering on the tongue.

M - a fairly hefty body gives the beer a creamy mouthfeel. Good carbonation.

O - The hop aromas and flavors are superb and inviting. However, the overly saccharine malt just overwhelms the tasting. A drier finish could make this an epic beer.

A local brew, and an excellent brew. Nails the hops and flavor, great nose. Mouthfeel lags a little behind, but you only notice because it's hits the mark squarely in all other respects

Amber colored body with a slightly off white and thick head that leaves spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is a wave of citrus in its sweet form. The malt integrates to the nose of citrus bringing sweet orange, tangerine and clementine notes. Flavor follows with a sugar like sweetness up front from the malt backing which again just lends a perfect sweetness backing to the orange, tangerine and clementine flavors. Crisp mouthfeel with some bright carbonation, heavy end of a light body and a crisp and drying finish. Great IPA here that I'd love to have again. It's citrus all the way, balanced in a good way and super drinkable.

Enjoyed on tap at Chicago Union train station.

Pours a crystal clear honey colored liquid with a decent off-white head.

Pleasant sprucey aroma.

Flavor is fantastic. Complex and nuanced. Lots of floral hops. I'm picking up notes of pine, juniper, and pineapple. Some nice copper notes.

Nice medium mouthfeel with velvety just-right carbonation.

Best IPA I have had in some time.

On tap at Elephant & Castle on a freezing cold evening in the Loop

A: gold with some tints of reddish and amber, 1 finger off-white head
S: an intoxicating mixture of sweet tropical and orchard fruits, dank earthy resiny pine notes, and some pale malt breadiness.
T: follows the nose, and comes in layers. This has got a lot going on, and I like all of it.
M: lingering bitterness with a little bite, medium carbonation, a little on the thick side, slick but ends dry

Overall: I enjoy this one a lot, even though I sometimes wonder whether it has too much going on. Delicious.

Poured into a Dogfish Head branded IPA glass

A - Pours a slightly honey-tinged gold. Forms a nice finger and a half of slightly off-white, creamy head that has decent retention. Spotty lacing left on walls of the glass.
S - Sweet, bright, vibrant and tropical. Lots of peach and mango, sweet hops and perhaps a light note of lemon in the back. The aroma is definitely sweet and tropical and less savory.
T - Balance is the theme here, and it is done so perfectly. Upfront there is sweet peach and mango, this is followed by savory grapefruit that finally develops into hop bitterness. The bitterness at the end of the flavor development rounds off the initial upfront sweetness perfectly yet does not linger once it has done its job, making this beer incredibly crisp, refreshing, thirst-quenching and sessionable.
O - A DAMNED fine session IPA, one of the best I've had. If I could get this stuff, it would replace Modus Hoperandi as my favorite go-to session IPA for sure.

Picked this one up as an extra on a trade.

Really solid brew here.

Appearance: Solid IPA, not too dark but some reddish hues and golden bronze colors.

Aroma: Dank hoppy dominant beer. Some tropical fruit notes in there as well.

Taste: Dank, bitter, but not too biting, enjoyable overall.

Overall: Solid brew, I would like to try more from this brewery in the future.

Deep gold in color with a minimum of head. An absolutely perfectly balanced IPA, with a sweet maltiness on the back end as a kiss off from the assertive hop profile. An outstanding IPA in a crowded field.

Pours a cloudy orange color with a frothy white head. Smells of orange, grapefruit, a little malt sweetness, pine and earth. Taste is much towards the grapefruit side. Bitter orange peels and juice. Some mango and pine. Good malt backbone. The bitterness complements the citrus flavors really well. Mouthfeel is pretty good, if a little thick, but this really drinks easily. Overall a very solid IPA. It's not something I would go out of my way to get, but nice to try from a trade haul.

poured 12oz can into snifter. Canned 11/21/14.

A - Dark hazy orange with a nice 1.5 finger white head. Nice webbed lacing forms and a collar forms around glass edge.

S - Starts off with some bready malts and caramel sweetness. Hop flavors of bitter citrus and pine.

T - More hops up front than the nose would indicate. Bitter citrus, grapefruit pith and pine. Middle fills in with the bready malts and sweet caramel notes. Finish has a nice bitter grapefruit punch.

M - Medium slick mouthfeel and decent carbonation. Lingering bitterness on the palate.

O - Pretty solid, canned IPA, but nothing that distinguishes it from all the other IPAs.

Poured from a growler. Carbonation was still good and strong but not sure when it was filled since it was a gift.

Appearance: pours a deep caramel orange color. a two finger or so white head with strong retention and leaving behind a strong lacing. strong brightness and clarity to it.

Smell: a honey to light caramel sweetness. strong resiny hops. some citrus, pine and spiciness to it.

Taste: opens up with some citrusy and resiny hops. hop taste develops into a piney to earthy spicy taste. in the background are some semi sweet malts. lighter honey-esque than the aroma. ends with some bready malts and more hop resin.

Mouthfeel: carbonation was good. probably would be even a little better in a can. bitterness is strong but not overwhelming, lingers for a little. drinkable and a nice slight dryness.

Overall: a solid IPA offering. perhaps a bit too strong on the caramel style malts for me. also not my first choice of hop varieties but still very good.

Poured into an IPA glass from a 12 oz can. Canned 9/20/14.

Color is clear light gold with a 1 finger white head that dissipates quickly. A bit of semi-sticky lacing. Smell was pretty subdued at first - it needs to warm up above refrigerator temp (probably around 45F or so). Once it warmed up, there was a nice aroma of floral and citric hops - very juicy. Flavor was exactly the same - originally it was a bit cold and didn't offer much. After it warmed, it really exploded with delicious orange, grapefruit, pineapple and mango flavors. It has a nice malt backbone that just keeps the hops at bay while remaining well in the background where it belongs. Finish is clean and bitter and lingers for a bit. Body is definitely on the thin side, with moderate carbonation.

Overall, this beer is an enigma. When it's too cold (or too warm) it didn't offer much to get excited about. But at the right temperature, it's really, really good.

Out of a can into my tulip. From Kevinpitts. Thanks Kevin!
A – Pours out a straw yellow with a good finger of stark white head that stayed around and left spotty lacing.
S – Piney, floral, earthy and grapefruit.
T – Grapefruit and pine all over this one. Citrus flavors like orange, tangerine and pineapple? Not overly hoppy or bitter. Very nice balance. Touch spicy up front with a sweet malt at the end.
M – Medium carbonation with a bit of dryness.
O – Very nice IPA. No hop bomb but instead a nice tasty easy drinker. I could see myself bringing a 6 pack of this on the boat catching some tarpon this summer.

Can sent to me in a recent trade. It's about 3 months old, but doesn't taste like it all.

Pours a golden light amber, with orange tints, with a half inch head, and a little bit of lacing.

Smells classically IPA- orange, grapefruit, pineapple, and pine, juicy and fresh, with no malt that I can detect.

This is a great IPA, I wish we could get it around here. There's some lightly juicy hop flavors, nice melange of orange, peach, pineapple, and grapefruit, with some heavy bitterness, a bit of a floral character, some herbal awesomeness, and some lightly sweet caramel malt. There's just enough malt to give it a solid backbone, but not enough to take over flavor-wise.

This is medium bodied, with a crisp, juicy mouthfeel, and a normal amount of carbonation for the style. It's very, very drinkable.

I wish this was on the shelves around me, I'd buy it all the time if it was.
