Hey everyone.

This wit pours quite possibly the most beautiful hazy glow I've seen in recent memory. Pear and pineapple shades with a giant head, leaving skirted lace in forms of what can only be described as ancient language. Only thing I'd like to see different is some sediment, otherwise it'd be a five.

Smells like a Wit! Has orange candy-ish aromas, with clove and coriander, dusty wheat, and hay barn. It's a little musky, but that's the character of Witbiers. Nothing off here at all.

Flavors, well they're within Witbier territory but a little underwhelming. Quite a bit of ash underneath everything else - which happens to consist of some durham wheat, stiff corianders, rosemary, and a little banana. It keeps punching me in the mouth with harsh and unrelenting metallic ash tones. If i could change one thing I'd get rid of that completely.

Feel is slim and only marginally creamy, with a slight chalkiness and a mild carbonation.

Overall, this Witbier puts on a good show but when it's time to take her to bed, it goes south. I would have liked to pick up another one from my trip to test at a later date, but alas I only got one. I'm not too wrecked over it.

Had at Frontera at OHare airport. Pretty standard wit. Nice golden color with a head that dissipated rather quickly. I thought this had a nice spice to it though unlike other wits. Very good beer, although not surprised from this brewery.

Poured from a 12 oz. can into a chalice.

Appearance: Pours a yellowish golden orange with a moderate amount of bubbles. Big two finger white head which settles into a thin creamy layer.

Smell: A spicy and fruity Belgian style aroma with a scent of spice and citrus. Belgian yeast with a scent of pepper, clove, and coriander. Citrus fruit hints of orange peel and lemon zest. Malt scent of wheat, grains, and cracker. A pretty solid aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a spicy and fruity Belgian style taste with notes of spice and citrus. Belgian yeast with notes of clove, pepper, and coriander. Citrus fruit notes of orange peel and lemon zest. Malt notes of wheat, cracker, and grains. A pretty nice taste.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Crisp and very smooth.

Overall: A pretty solid take on a Witbier. Nice spicy yeast and citrus notes.
