Red ale brewed for the holiday season with specialty malts to achieve a beautiful deep red hue and the aromas of fresh baked bread, caramel, and stone fruits. Steeped with ginger root and orange peel.

Canned 10/12/23
I already had most of the 4 pack that I grabbed of this from Tavour thinking I had reviewed the first one. Luckily I realized that as I went to grab this last one. I’ve been enjoying this one quite a bit so far but it needs a proper review. Let’s dive right in
Pours a cloudy dark orange with 3 fingers of creamy beige head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves decent lacing
The nose thankfully isn’t ginger overkill as many beers with ginger tend to be, rather this is nicely balanced. I’m picking up on aromas of brown sugar, dark toast, candied ginger, orange zest, pithy grapefruit, caramel, herbal hops, light molasses, and raisin
It doesn’t have quite the same balance in taste but it’s still damn good. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting burnt toast, orange zest, pithy grapefruit, caramel, piney hops, candied ginger, grass, and light brown sugar. The swallow brings notes of cooked ginger, pithy grapefruit, orange zest, burnt toast, caramel, brown sugar, raisin, and light molasses
A medium body pairs with moderate carbonation, resulting in a smooth beer. Finishes a tad sticky but it doesn’t really hurt the drinkability
I like this one quite a bit more than the average BA apparently

Clear, medium copper colored body; dense carbonation; thick, frothy, dirty white head. Light smell of faint, light malt grains with a moderate fruity ester background; over-ripe orange; kiwi and green apple. Decent roasted grain flavor; mild fruit and spicy elements; mild bitterness undercurrent. Medium-heavy body; sticky, persistent residual sugar feel; generally dry mouthfeel overall.
A rather unique, malt-forward character as far as the flavor goes. The beer doesn't present much in the of holiday spice or fruit flavors, more like a journeyman brewery stab at an Irish red ale. Good enough.

Pours clear red/copper with a thick ivory head that lingers, leaving lots of lacing. Aroma is piney hops, caramel, Christmas spices. Favor follows the nose, bitter hops followed by a slightly sweet caramel infused with cardamon and some stone fruit in the finish. Feel is medium bodied, well carbonated. Overall, a confusing mix of flavors that work fairly well together.

This breaks the mold of a standard red ale as it's definitely more of a Christmas ale with lots of am poorazing holiday flavors. Definitely corriander and stone fruit with a nice touch of caramel. Really sessionable beer that hits the spot for the holiday season.

Can. Caramel brown color. Khaki head with some lace.
Spices, caramel, toffee. Grassy hops. Light citrus in the background. English ale meets winter warming. Decent winter warmer.

Appearance: Pours a clear, rich amber to orange color with a strong light tan head. SRM of 16. (4.00)
Aroma: Mild aromas of orange citrus, caramel, bread. Some citrus pine underneath. (3.50)
Flavor: Moderate flavors of orange citrus, caramel, some citrus and pine. (3.75)
Feel: Medium-bodied, moderate carbonation and balanced finish. (3.75)
Compared to Begyle Christmas Ale 12/2022: Pours lighter, milder aromas. More orange and bread. Less dark brown bread, citrus spices. Lighter with similar sweetness.
Compared to Great Lakes Christmas Ale 12/2022: Pours similar, milder head. More orange and bread. Less sweet gingerbread and icing and malts. Lighter and cleaner.
Overall: Nice orange, bread, and some spiced pine and winter flavors here. Bready, malty and sweet. Not much bitterness and slightly too sweet and could use a little more spice in my opinion. For all that Revolution masters, this one was a bit underwhelming in my opinion,. (Rating: 3.71, but still pretty good)
