Originally brewed as the 100th beer at our brewpub, this strong pale ale packs a serious punch with massive hop flavor. Intense dry-hopping brings a deep, resinous, citrus blast reminiscent of cutting into a fresh bag of hop pellets.

APPEARANCE: Deep copper and hazy. The head is a finger-and-a-half thick and lasts for about 45 seconds or so. The bubbles seem aggressive as it pours, they almost look like soda bubbles, large and quick to get to the surface.

SMELL: Get your nose in this glass before that head fades, because it is an awesome smelling beer - delightfully piney with a ton of fruit; passion fruit, tangerine, mango, apricot. This smells sweet and inviting, yet still in a hoppy way.

TASTE: Wow. All of the fruit from the nose is here, but with some grapefruit, lemon and grass to balance it out. The tropical fruits really stand out and despite a slightly bitter start a caramel wave washes over the palate mid-sip for a sweeter finish.

MOUTHFEEL: A nice, solid sparkle with a medium to big body, bigger than I expected. The balance leans towards the sweet side, but it is dry enough to make this exceedingly drinkable.

OVERALL: I’m still searching for a bad beer from Rev. and haven’t found it. As I have said with many a hoppy beers in the past, this one pairs quite nicely with a tangy blue cheese like Pt. Reyes. Glad I was able to pick this one up on my last trip to Chicago.

poured a dark amber color. Very piney on smelling. When tasting, you get Pine, citrus and VERY hoppy. My wife brought me back this brew from Chicago when she went to visit one of our daughters.

Served in a Sam Adams glass because that's all I had at the time.

A: Poured crystal clear amber color with a pillowy 2-3 finger solid white head that clung to the glass.

S: Not an assault on the nose by any stretch of the imagination, but still had a good bit of piny, resiny assertiveness.

T: Quite a nice caramel, malt component with some bleached-out sweetness attached to the hop bill. Hibiscus flowers, and with a strong amber ale-like disposition overall.

M: Thick, but not syrupy, with a pitch perfect carbonation bill. Candy coated booze, very reminiscent of FFF Dreadnaught in that regard.

O: I'd easily have this again in a heartbeat, maybe next time, I'll even share the bottle.
