Notes / Commercial Description:
Originally brewed as the 100th beer at our brewpub, this strong pale ale packs a serious punch with massive hop flavor. Intense dry-hopping brings a deep, resinous, citrus blast reminiscent of cutting into a fresh bag of hop pellets.

Pours a rusty orange with an off-whitecreamy, two-finger head. Lots of action with the carbonation. Already leaving lacing from the head dissipation. Smells of piney citrus funk with much malt. Very Carmely and sweet taste. The bitterness is not overpowering. Kind of a honey-carmel taste coming through. A medium body in which there are two separate finishes of sweet and bitter. A beer in which the elements do not quite come together to compliment one, organized taste.

Really nice DIPA, but I wouldn't be able to put this in the top tier. I think this is a super solid offering from Revolution, but it did lack that dank quality that I want in the style. Not much fruitiness or balance.

Poured from a 22oz into an imperial pint glass.

A: The beer is a dark golden brown color with a short off- white head that fades slowly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains earthy hops, citrus and caramelized malts.

T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of caramel and caramel. Then a subdued grassy hops bitterness comes in. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and provides a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly bready.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, good kick, good milder representation of style, while this was far from the hop-bomb that I was expecting, it’s still a solid 2IPA to drink for a long time especially if you want one that is on the less harsh side.

Pours a dark orangey tan color, The pour pretty much says it all. A west coast style heavily malt forward type DIPA. Thee is little to no flavor here except from the malts. there is a little bit of piney resin taste in the finish. I'll admit I'm not a fan of this type of DIPA but for this style it is an acceptable beer.

Caramel copper color and clear. Lasting head which leaves a blanket of lace.

Aromatic and floral from an obvious dry hop. On the second whiff, I smelled some brown sugar but I would not describe this one as sweet.

Strong caramel base. The hop provides balance. Semisweet and chewy. Rich body with an elevated carbonation. The body is predictably full. The carbonation is low but creates good balance.

Tastes not quite as good as it smells, which is a bit of problem since it didn't smell all that great. Nothing is off, really, but it's not coherent. Starts bitter and piney, gets syrupy and biscuity, ends with strong nodes of booze. Totally okay, meh.
