12oz can that cost me $6.75. Dark orange-amber color. Aroma is mild bourbon barrel, fruit, nice. Flavor is very nice, teh bourbon barrel is mild but the flavor packs a punch. Delicious barleywine.

Bottled 12/17/15. Poured into a snifter.
This is freaking amazing and is easily one of the best beers I've ever had.

The appearance is a beautiful opaque and hazy dark brown. Almost muddy, which is just how I like my Barleywines to look.

The aroma is massive with bourbon, oak, vanilla, raisins, brown sugar, and some nuttiness.

The taste is big and sweet with vanilla, caramel, oak, bourbon spice, brown sugar, molasses and dark fruits.

The palate is full with a wonderful creaminess that lasts beautifully. Has a hint of lingering alcohol.

Overall this is a damn perfect beer that is easily one of the best beers in my favorite style, BBA English Barleywines.

12oz can crushed on my 10min walk into the Garth Brooks concert

I thought I had this before, but I’m probably just dumb. Super sticky and very creamy. Sweet candied raisins melted down and poured over a bourbon/rum cake. Awesome beer!

A 12oz. can filled 01-05-2018 poured in a Revolution snifter.

Look- Pours a light brown-ruby red color leaving a small ring of tan foam behind. An oily residue can be seen clinging to the glass.

Smell- Prominent bourbon, toffee, caramel, vanilla and mild char.

Taste- Bourbon, dark cherry, vanilla, toffee and oak. A hint of roasted corn in the finish.

Feel- Oily slick with a pleasant alcohol heat.

Overall- This has always been a solid barrel aged barleywine and this year's batch has taken it up a notch in my opinion. It's loaded with complex layers of flavor and a pure joy to sip. The 12oz. canned format makes perfect sense for the win. One of the best for the style.

Gem-esque copper-red with a thin, creamy tan ring and a thin film that looks like wood grains.

Wow, what an exceptionally smooth and velvety thick body--it isn't heavy, but just right. I'm getting a balanced mix of wood, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, soft pine, roasted nuts, pruney fig, and sweet crisped biscuit, with a gut warming swallow that instantly hits your consciousness, mellowing you out with alarming swiftness.

Perfectly straddling the middle ground between sweet and bitter, I can see why this Barleywine is so revered.

Appears a clear burnt orange with layer of tan head, nice retention. Nose starts with big bourbon wave, vanilla, molasses and oak come through. Taste is smooth with an assertive sweet malt profile. Smooth vanilla, toffee, caramel, and marshmallow. A bit of leather and earth finish things off. Smooth mouthfeel, medium carbonation. Overall, the barrel really smooths things out and makes this quite a bit more exciting.

12oz can, filled 01-05-2108. A foamy tan head slowly fades atop a darker brown colored ale. Malty and boozy aroma with hints of caramel, bread crust, vanilla, oak, bourbon, date, and a touch of coconut. Excellent complexity of flavors: toasty grain, toasty coconut, caramel, bourbon, vanilla, earthy hops, sultana, brown sugar, and date. Full body, ample carbonation, boozy but not hot, sweet and sticky with very modest bitterness. Overall, quality rare beer that is highly recommendable and a must try if you can find it.
