A- goldenrod with a hue of light orange. 1 finger worth of foam ,with excellent retention. Very bright.

S- Smell wheat, pine and some grapefruit.

T- Light malt, some wheat. There was also pine and grapefruit that left a dry bitter aftertaste that left the palate clean.

M- High carbonation with light mouthfeel.

O- This beer goes excellent with any food. However on it's own it lacks complexity and some more flavor. Really expecting more aromatics also.

A big thanks to the founding father of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a dark golden/brown color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of fruits, citrus in particular, hops. Taste is hops, citrus, malts, spices, balanced and disappearing quickly. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall a tasty beer that is easing the pain of watching this ass kicking my Phillies are receiving from the Orioles.

Another home run for Revolution!

More of a hybrid/mutant then the rest of the beers labeled as BPAs. Really should be in its own category. I have a feeling that many people didn't know how to review this one in a fair way.

Very refreshing but with Cascade and Citra hop goodness. Think IPA with Belgian wit yeast. Nice curve ball in the typical IPA line up
Certainly worth a BUY.

A fresh six pack from Binny's beverage depot poured into a Southern Tier tulip. The pour produces an awesome looking clear golden amber hued brew topped by a fluffy light tan head that coats the glass with residue.

The nose is nicely funky and fruity from the Belgian yeast with a great hop presence and spicy notes.

The taste has a sharp fruity start with funky phenolics and tartness complimenting the citric and fruity hop flavor. The malt is hidden behind the bursts of extreme yeasty spice and fruity hoppy goodness but the tart-ness may be due in part from some acidulated (sour) malt in the grist bill.

Bright carbonation highlights the bright flavors of this beer. It has a light to medium body.

Overall this a very affordable and drinkable and excellent brew. I home-brewed a clone that's conditioning at the moment so I can't wait to try it!! We used magnum, citra and cascade hops. Our tribute to a great example of the style, and a great brewery too. Viva the Revolution!

22oz bomber, pours dark orange, smell is slightly hoppy not overwhelming. Taste is complex, layered, fantastic. Great beer. I'm really starting to like this new niche, Belgium Style Pale ales. It's the best of american and UK methods to make such a diverse style.

Poured from a 12 oz. can into a chalice.

Appearance: Pours a deep amber red with a moderate amount of bubbles. Couple good fingers of off white head that settle into a thin creamy layer.

Smell: A spicy and juicy aroma with a scent of Belgian spice and citrus. Belgian yeast with a scent of pepper and clove. Citrus hop hints of orange, grapefruit, mango, and apricot. Earthy hop hints of grass and pine. Also some fruit hints of banana, apple, and white grape . Malt scent of caramel, grains, and cracker. Some candied sugar hints. A pretty nice aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a spicy and juicy Belgian style taste with notes of spice and citrus. Belgian yeast with notes of pepper, clove, and coriander. Citrus hop notes of grapefruit, orange peel, mango, and apricot. Earthy hop notes of pine and grass. Belgian style fruit notes of banana, white grape, and apple. Malt notes of caramel, grains, and cracker. Some honey and candied sugar sweetness. A very solid taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Juicy, fairly chewy, and pretty smooth.

Overall: A pretty good take on a Belgian style Pale Ale. Good mix of spicy yeast and juicy hop flavor.

Pours a hazy burnt orange with a respectable head. Retention is decent for an American take on the style . . . meaning I didn't have to sit it down and come back 10 minutes later before I could finish pouring the rest of the can. Fyi - first time I've actually poured this. Usually I just take it from the can. Aromas are mostly floral, slightly citrusy with subtle yet noticeably Belgian yeasty aromas . . . Esters or phenols I'm still trying to get that down. Flavors are similar with the addition of honey and brown sugar. Overall, Revolution simply put is a top notch brewery that produces some of the best hoppy stuff around. Perhaps there is a Belgian Hero on the horizon?

22 oz bottle dated 2013 served in a Belgian snifter.

A: deep orange-amber color with high clarity and a thin fragile head. Decent lacing.

Aroma & Flavor: With hops that make this citrusy and slightly grassy, and some Belgian yeast adding touchs of nuttiness and funk, this has very good complexity in both aroma and flavor. Also has notes of apricots and tropical fruits. Mildly bitter and subtly sour. I enjoyed the aroma a bit more than the flavor, largely owing to the relatively disappointing aftertaste.

Feel: Medium-light body with medium+ carbonation.

O: a well-done and and refreshing Belgian-style pale ale. Very drinkable and rather aromatic for style.
