22oz bomber poured into a snifter. Bottled on date looks like it says 11/10/14.

A- Pours very cola-like, with a dark brown color along with a finger worth of frothy khaki colored head.

S- Sweet chocolate and slight hints of oak on the nose.

T- Smell carries into the taste, with notes of dark malts and chocolate up front, before the oak and bourbon shines through.

M- Medium bodied, nicely carbonated, the barrel aging is prominent at the backend of each taste.

I'm always pleased with Revolution's Deep Wood Series, except for their pricepoints.

Looks great - super dark with a nice tan head. A lot of bourbon in the scent and the taste. Hints of chocolate and root beer. But the bourbon is most prominent and the great flavors in the base beer don't come through. Mouthfeel, which in the Eugene Porter is smooth and creamy, is thin. Not a bad beer but not one to splurge on.
